How does Olivia betray Peter? Walter yes, big time, but she doesn't know about Walter's betrayal either.
Really think Peter will be very angry and go off on his own for an episode. It would be cool if he dealt with his mob past then, and somehow realizes that you can't always pick the family you have (although Walter has tried!!) I also think Peter will become obsessed with finding out if his parents on the other side are alive still. My question is, would Olivia help him with that? Also, if Peter did vanish from the Fringe team for his own episode as he deals with it, would Olivia go after him? Would anyone? There are so many possibilites to this story, but only two outcomes, as you say: Peter either stays and helps and gets more answers, or he joins the other side in revenge. Both would allow the character to grow in very interesting ways, but I think the possibilities for Peter to grow into the man his mother wanted him to be (and would he still listen to those words, knowing that she knows he is the alternate Peter?) would be stronger if he stayed with Walter and Olivia.
Peter's emotions will lead him to find a way to the other side because he just needs to know and understand everything. In the process he will meet Bell and will determine for himself who or what is the enemy. He will eventually discuss his conclusions with Olivia but he will discover good reasons not to reveal them to Walter - reasons that Walter is completely clueless about!

vote for fight for the bad guys! then the story will last longer and the show won't get canceled forever!

I voted for him to go to the dark side... The reason for that is that it would be cool if he switched sides, and they think he really left them, he is actually using it as an excuse to dismantle the bad side from the inside. Either way i think Olivia and Peter should get together.
I think peter should get pissed off enough so that he starts questioning everything that has happened in his life so far and everything he believes in. And maybe the FBI should plant peter as a double agent.

I think he should initially go over to the other sited but he is a smart guy. So smart that he might be the one that can actually work both sides and bring them together somehow to fight the reeeeeely bad guys from another...... 3rd dimension or other planet. Of course... Peter won't tell anyone what he is planning but somehow... he is the one that figures it all out.

I think it would make a great story if Peter switched to the dark side, but not permanently.. because it would make a great storyline for when he switches back eventually, too!

I voted for Peter to forgive, but I think it would be cool if "the family" (FBI as JJ described it) used this revelation and what would be understandable anger to plant Peter as a double agent on the other side to get information and plans.

Who says "they" are the bad guys? Walter, one of the supposed good guys, kidnapped a child from their world.
Maybe they are just trying to protect themselves against kidnapping agressors (i.e. us).
I would like the writers to bring some real changes to the group, so Peter sympathising with the other side would be sweet. Seriously, he won't sympathize with the shape shifters, just with the other Walter maybe.

I still haven't gotten over Charlie's death, and we don't know whose side Nina is on either. I don't want to see Peter go to the dark side, even though that's the more "realistic" reaction. I'd like to see Peter be a real bad ass and take out his anger on the enemies!
