Wow!!! What a dissappointment. He is a fantastic gulfer but must lack a lot of integrity and smarts. Did he really think he was the celebrity that Wouldn't get caught!!!! He should do everything possible to take care of his children now. The embarassment and pain he has caused them is immeasurable.

"XXXX" - Speak up - exactly what about my note above is "unconstitutional"?

He who is without sin let him cast the first stone..

  • No to tiger - 14 years ago

He is disgusting by causing so much harm to his wife and family. Police should investigate if money was offered in exchange for sex.

It's a hard way to learn a lesson, losing face and perhaps his wife and children, but it only proves he is as human as most men who have strayed, not a judgement on his golf abilities, only his ego and intelligence,,Grow up Tiger, keep your eye on the prize and keep that zipper UP..I do feel that your own affairs should be private but you are naive if you think they will be from now on.

Just because a man can knock a 62 in eighteen holes doesn't make him a saint. It's unrealistic to hold an athlete to a higher standard than the one to which we hold our friends and co-workers. I am saddened for his family, and Tiger, and hope that they can all come through this without lasting hurt, but I don't see Tiger in any less of a light. The only pedestal he was on, in my mind, was for golf.

pfr, you are making some easy assumptions, as everyone has their own failings. A yes vote means that I have lost respect for Tiger. It does not mean that I thought he was perfect, or think that I am perfect Is your opinion that a person in not entitled to an opinion because of their own failings?

Colleen, what really matters is the damage he has done to his family. God will fine.

LJS, voting in a poll is not 'throwing stones' it's merely a measure of people's reactions. If you don't want to know what people think about the news then don't read.

SB, real men don't condone lying to the one person who should be able to trust you above all others. Infidelity is not acceptable it is only tolerated and glorified because most people in today's society have no self control. The more spoiled a person is, the less self control they generally have.

I find many of those who posted have this opinion that the failings of man should not be judged or retold because we all have failings. Such a narrow view of the world. By seeing, understanding, and discussing the failings of others we hope to avoid such failings in our own experiences.

I lost some respect for Tiger's intelligence, not his golf game. I have no idea or any reason to question or intrude in his marriage or family life. I question why he would think that, as one of the highest profile individuals in the world - out of nearly 7,000,000,000 people he might the most recognizable - he could have secret affairs with at least two or three women, who were not pros, and not have anyone talk about it, or be seen in public or expect that his wife or maybe one of the women wouldn't find out about the others. A woman from one of the sleazier reality shows? A woman managing a nightclub in Vegas? Really! If he was that frustrated, he could have used pros, escorts, who are versed in making what they do and who they do it with very confidential. He could certainly afford it. Apparently, Tiger and Elin have a business arrangement, with an exit clause that pays Elin an extra bonus if she can last 10 years. She seems to be willing to modify this and at some point take the money (and probably the kids) and a couple of houses and get on with her life. I will have more respect for Tiger as a single man who can play golf and fulfill his desires with he wishes. There are a lot of men who would gladly trade places with him.

I dont understand why is it our business that Tiger Woods had a mistress. I don't care what Tiger does outside the golf course. I am a fan of Tiger Woods because he is the best golfer to have ever played the game. And thats all we should care of, who cares what he does outside the golf course. My kids like Tiger because he plays golf and thats it. My kids know that a true hero or a role model lives with them. My wife and I teaches our kids how to act and gives them the value of life. We take them to church, read stories about the our Lord Jesus Christ. We don't let other people teach them how to became a "man"!
To those that have a problem with Tiger Woods infidelity look at yourself first before you can judge!

Me do this all the time. Big deal. This too shall pass.

Id like to see a gender breakdown of the people polled , im sure most women take issue with Tigers behavior

while most of us "real men" , not only understand, but wish we could pat Tiger on the back and wink at him...*shrugs* "stuff happens

where are the Rihannish domestic abuse zealots?, heck he was likely attacked with a golf club.....id like to see the women so outraged by domestic abuse cases , speaking out to condemn ELIN.....

only mistake Tiger made is getting married, Derek Jeter doesnt have this issue...lol

  • LJS - 14 years ago

People who live in glass houses, shouldn't throw stones! We all make mistakes that we regret because we're only human. This should remain a private matter between the parties involved.

Smart move Geoffrey Furdow. Your anti-constituional babbling just got you off jury duty for life.

Wow, another overpaid athelete is cheating on his wife! what an idiot! Hope she leaves him and sues him for 1/2 the billion he is worth. Maybe THAT would send a message to the rest of them.

  • KASH - 14 years ago

Is this really of interest? If so, get a life.

I would tell Jedda to get a brain, but a brain is useless without a heart.

  • Colleen - 14 years ago

Addendum: We have all made mistakes in our lives. Have we not?

  • Colleen - 14 years ago

Yes, Tiger is human and he has made some very big mistakes. I only hope he has confessed his sins to Lord God Almighty. It does not really matter what the public thinks, it is what God thinks. It is amazing how quickly something like this hits the media. Media is hungry for this sort of thing.
    Better luck, Tiger.

  • pfr - 14 years ago

I feel that 90 percent of the yes voters probably have some sort of infedelity or private sins of their own.

  • Buck Williams - 14 years ago

What you thought he was different than us? He is a great golfer, yes. But he is human, not perfect, etc. When we fight with our wives...no one cares. When everyday people have flings, no one cares.....so for me, I hope he gets his personal life together so I can appreciate his golf game. He's young, he made some bad decisions, he got caught. He apologized(why? I don't know....outside of his wife, maybe his momma) I don't put athletes on a ped outside of their sport. Remember OJ? Don't worry TW, the haters will love this until someone else makes a bogey. At the very end, you'll be judged by your body of work. Forgive yourself, ask for forgiveness from your wife and God....you'll be ok. It'll only hurt for a little while.
    YOU DA MAN!

The Woods' family biz is everyone's biz now because they are breaching the peace - she obviously attacked the car with a golf club in a rage (or at best (?) there was a car accident involving raging, heat of the momemnt domestic violence) and he is lying about it to the press - just as he lied to her about his affairs. Mr. Woods has arguably the finest hand/eye coordination the world has ever known - he does not just crash a car unless distracted, period. Everyone seems to be overlooking the fact that the car accident that made all of this public and which did not happen solely on the Woods' property could have gotten someone seriously hurt - outside of the disfunctional Woods family - which makes it everyone's biz. Moreover, if the next time - and there will be a next time, that is the way raging, domestic violence works, the weapon of chioce is a firearm and not a golf club... or the resulting car accident happens not in the mid-early morning hours, but while children are waiting for a school bus or walking to school and an SUV of this size goes out of control into a kid and not a tree or a fireplug.
