I'm 47 and when I was young I was taught that the world was warm through out most of it's history. You know, dinosaurs ruled the earth. Now our schools are brain washing our children to believe it's all our fault. B.S. This is just a money / power grab by the spineless egomaniacs at the U.N. and others. I've learned 3 things about criminals in my life. Most wear a suit and tie. Most already have more money than the average person. Most hold a political office. No thanks to your carbon tax. I'm already taxed too much.
The earth's climate has changed for 4+ billion years and will continue to change until the planet is swallowed by our sun some 10 billion years from now.
People are so naive as to believe this bunk when 30 years ago they warned us of the impending Ice Age. Progressives simply grab whatever new fear vehicle they can use to try and control other people.
That said, I DO believe that we should use the technology at our disposal to make better, more efficient and ecologically sound choices. That means we should use the natural resources of our country until the new energy source of tomorrow is developed and ready for use.
In short, drill baby, drill. It will be at least 50 years before we have a viable energy source that can be distributed widely. We should drill, build nuclear plants, use gasification of carbon based garbage etc. We should NOT buy more foreign oil as we don't need to turn our sovereignty over to others.
