I recently used Bing to search for 20+ online news articles which I had previously noted the titles of. I entered the full titles as search terms. In roughly half of the cases, Bing failed to display the result on the first page of hits. I switched to Google: in all cases the first hit was the right one. Enough said.

Due to inertia, Google is my home page. Competition from Bing led to improvments in Google searches. Most useful is listing subcategories of the search on the first page. Competion led to progress

if the question is "Which is a better search engine," then Google wins hands down. However, the question is, "Who would win in a fight?"

With bing cashback, bing fights dirty, and the dirty fighter always wins :) it's my default search engine, falling back on Google if I *really* can't find it.

Bing is the default search engine on my work computer, so I am forced to use it out of convenience. But so many times I have searched for something, and no relevant results came up, and I switch to Google to get exactly what I am looking for.
Especially for venue/restaurant listings. The Bing Maps also is inferior to google maps by far.
