How Do You Feel About Sheamus Main Eventing the Next WWE PPV?

I don't think it's a bad idea to push newer talents, but the WWE needs to be aware of what is new and what is unexperienced. Obviously Sheamus is not ready for the main event scene. He was on ECW a month ago facing Goldust, and now he's getting a WWE Championship match? No way.

For me, the most logical choice here would have been Jack Swagger. In the previous months on RAW, if you remember, Swagger and Cena exchanged words and it seemed like a feud was destined to happen. This was the perfect oppurtunity for Swagger, who at least HAS a reputation, and didn't just recive the spot because he works out with "The Game"...

I could have seen this being Swagger's breakout moment, but this has turned into ANOTHER blown oppurtunity by WWE. I am not that excited, as some appear to be.

Well, generally I do agree with the whole point view you got there, in regards to how they out Sheamus over it was completely lame....Annd not to mention they used one of the worst nobodies in the entire history of nobodies....lol! I just knew for sure that night of the royal rumble that Kofi was goin to win the match....atleast they still putting the Randy vs Kofi thing together!

I don't have a problem with new faces in the main event and Shemus is not a bad idea. My only problem is the way WWE tries to force a wrestler to get over instead of having the fans generally gain heat or fan support with him. I like the way they are building up Kofi because he was a US champ first and had some good matches. Shemus on the other hand was force to be this big bad monster but he really only squash JAMIE Noble. Who hasn't squash Jamie noble? WWE needs to value the fans more and stop thinking we're stupid enough to just go ahead with some nobody.

WWE cannot get any worse in terms of creative direction in this trial period of "Attitude 'Adjusted' Era".
Sheamus does not possess the marketable appearance to become the face of the company, nor does he have a intriguing gimmick.
There was only one person that deserves a main event push as a rookie and went on for greater success and that was Brock Lesnar, who won the NCAA Div I championship, All-American college wrestler, superhuman strength, ridiculously agile for his size.
On the other hand, Sheamus is a Irish GINGER with a retarded name and accent, mediocre physique and wrestling ability, overall is an updated formula of Vladmir Kozlov, Snitsky, and Mike Knox.

On a whole nuther deal, I really think Dx and Jerishow got great chemistry in the ring pertaining to making the other team look good! But concidering that the upcoming ppv is in hbk home town I think dx will then do the unthinkable, well maybe not the unthinkable) in which I really has indeed been waiting on since they're re-uniting in 2006! this is gonna be a great match wich will lead to more upcoming superstars such as legacy getting more spot light!!!

I remember a few years ago koslov had a similar push and where is he now? I think that sheamus is a great superstar of the future but think he needs a midcard push first otherwise he will be the next koslov. maybe have him team with drew mcintyre (like matt morgan/nathan jones back in 2003) to fued with dx?????

yea....i personally thinks that kofi shood have got the title shot, but since he didn't I probably wood say dat they shood continue the randy orton fued then to build his character and fan status! If he continue with the way that he is goin indeed he will be a future champion sooner then later!

The WWE needs to start filling the roles of all the vet wrestlers and many of the vets have been saying this for a long time. It might not be the most popular idea, but they won't know unless they try something.

Kingston will get a World Title push soon but if they put him in the match against Cena it would've been 2 face guys against each other and wouldnt have worked out. Sheamus is a great talent and he'll definitely be a Champion in the future, but this will be a good warm up for him. Its about time they started pushing new talent

if someone should have gotten a wwe title shot it should've been kofi kingston...considering the fact he was the only survivor in the team kingston vs. team orton survivor series match and he did pin orton to win that match. considering the fact that randy orton is a former wwe and world heavyweight champion you think kingston would have been the obvious choice for a title opportunity.

its not a great idea but not its not a bad idea i say its a good idea. they trying to build young superstars well there doing it right now. i be watching this ppv over the internet. not ordering it. but one problem is we know john cena will win thats what pisses me off is he already know hes going to win

I vote great idea. I hae to say atleast WWE is going in a better direction on Raw and ECW with Shemus and Shelton. Not to pleased to see Batista get another shot. Shemus has Triple H's support and Drew McIntyre has Triple H and Shawn Michaels' support so we know two ne stars too make the world title new in the future. I would like to see Matt Hardy in the World Heavyweight Championship picture if we saw this and others WWE has passes to the new generation
