Should large nonprofits such as hospitals and colleges pay property taxes?

    If they want to start taxing nonprofit hospitals and colleges, they better start taxing the churches too.

    The town of Weymouth is lucky to have the South Shore Hospital in town.
    Without it there would be less revenue.
    The politicians/crackwhores in Weymouth need more money and like our State legislators will stop at nothing except SPENDING.
    Being a "NON" profit means that they don't have to pay any taxes.
    Any money they give is a bonus. What's happened here is that the town has relied on this money. Sounds like the cities and towns with the Lottery.
    Speaking of the Lottery. They are in Weymouth. They are a NONPROFIT. Have them pay taxes too!

    Taxes will result in higher hospital charges and higher tuitions. Don 't you think these costs are high enough? Cities and towns need to realise that taxpayers do not have unlimited ability to keep funding wasteful governments.
