The city should decrease property taxes now when there are plenty of deals to be had in the city as far as real estate. This will become particularly important when BRAC gets going in full effect. Very soon we will be losing the BRAC benefits because of these tax rates. I'm not naive enough to simply say we need to just lower property taxes and be done with it, I believe there must be tax hikes in other places. The bottom line is what's good for Baltimore City is also good for Maryland, I think too many people miss this point.
