My feelings on each.

Edward-
I loved Edward in the first movie, and maybe in the second, and was so happy when he came back because that was what we've all be waiting for, wondering if they dynamic or depth of their relationship will chance since being a part and stuffering such hardship. In Eclipse, the overbearing, all consuming need to "protect" Bella became patronizing and belittling and I would not let anyone gell me what I can and can't do. I would never say "keeping my prisoner was for my own good because I don't know what is good for myself" is ok. No attractive man, in my book, wants to limit my freedom, even if it is for serious reasons. Bella needs to figure out for herself what is good for her- not her father-like-boyfriend. Those are the behaviors that made be take a serious look at the competition. But it doesn't hurt that he's an attractive man, very faithful, generous, though he is a bit of a pessimist, for the most part predictable, and he's cold to the touch and hard as a stone...no cuddling with out your snow gear on..and he's dead. Imagine all the awkward moments when you enter a party with your vampire boyfriend and they take you aside and say, "why does your boyfriend look like's dead?" I'll love Edward anyway because he's a great character, but when you compare to...

Jacob-
The sweet, genuinely happy guy who brightens anyones mood just by being around him because that is what a positive personality can do. He has that youthful innocence about him (at least in the beginning) that can never come back once it's lost. He also has truly deep feelings for Bella that have only been building over time...based on reality, and not the "we meet, fall in love, and now I think of you as on a pedestal" kind of love. It's really based on the building of deeper bonds and a friend love that turns into a romantic love. It's her choice. But personally, my "fate" would be with Jacob, the warm bodied, loving, protective, friend and lover that I knew I could depend on to not leave me because "he knows decides what's best" Sure, he can't get angry around me (we all know why) but really, I think I could calm him down. Eating together is a big one. Jake can eat real food...imagine a candle lit dinner with a deer on your plate and a mountain lion on the bleeding on the other plate. Yep, I just lost my appetite. And also, talking walks outside and things like that are fun...poor vamps are stuck hiding out.

And really...it's Jacob Lautner. JACOB LAUTNER. A look at him and really there is no need for discussion. No offense to the competition.

Ok in all seriousness, even though these are some of the things I think about using in defense of Jacob, this was just fun and I think the "rivalry" keeps things fun and interesting. Learning to debate is a good skill, and the Twilight fan base should be quite talented after all of this is said and done.

I'm a "TEAM JACOB" he's so cute and his transformation of the wolf is adorably cute.

first off give it up for team jacob because edward left bella and broke his promise. jacob stayed through everything. he defeneded her and fought for her. he loves her more thn edward. im suprised she turned jake down. if yu watched the movie or read the book you understand and are probably thinking the same thing.. TEAM JACOB!!!! ALL THE WAY.

Honestly, I am Team Jacob! But towards the middle of Eclipse I'm torn between both of them & mostly on Team Edward. But I will always love Jacob Black <3

i am totally TEAM JACOB!!!!! i mean have you seen his muscles?!?! he is hot on screen and in real life!! i mean i love edward but there is no competition when it comes to jacob!! jacob is totally the "right kind of moster"! well vampires are super cool too. but jacob in wolf form is so adorable. and edward only has one form. and jacob would never leave bella to fend for herself. but edward did. and if it wasnt for JACOB, bella would be dead!
