Gov. Perdue is expected to announce a "novel financing method" to finish I-485. How do you think we'll pay for it?

A new tax

A toll

Federal stimulus money

Something completely different

One thing you can count on...it won't be free! Taxpayers will be hit one way or another.

You can all tell her to go to hell. Suddenly, because a Democrat was elected, she's coming here and she's got a PLAN to finish 485? Doesnt anyone want to call her on that total BS? No disrespect to Foxx, none meant at all - but she is USING him and using 100% politics (like Obama and Pelosi have been doing) to get this road finished. She was a clueless buffoon during McCrory's time and she's STILL a clueless buffoon during Foxx's time. I know that the Republican's do the same thing and I would STILL call it 100% pure BS. He behavior and her actions are a prime example of why things DO NOT get done, when they should, why they should, how they should, etc. When are we going to wake up and elect people who would work for the love of their state and not themselves, their own wallets and self-interests. I wish the leaders of Charlotte would tell her, when she arrives, to go back to Raleigh and rethink her idiotic ways or apologize to the citizens of this region for being a complete moron.

She's a liberal democrat, of course it's going to be a new tax. Taxes are all democrats understand.

My guess would be its "stimulus" money...and if so, this will be a great time to again point out why the government is not a producer, but a consumer in its own right...we've spent money locally to build a half billion dollar light rail line to benefit only those commuting from south west Charlotte downtown to work...citizen's tax dollars were used from all across the country...taxes from Mecklenburg citizens all across the county are used to fund something that benefits only a few...this is a perfect indication of why government spends are targeted benefits for specific groups...

The state department of transportation does not have the money for the road because they spend money on needless projects in the eastern part of the state and forget about the western part. Her "innovative" way of paying for it will be a new tax and a toll. It is the same old down east politics that good old Bev loves. She is jerking us around again.

It's called political patronage. There is no more money in the state treasury now than there was a year ago. But, if you vote for my friends then we'll built a road for you. If you're a friend of Obama, the federal coffers will be open to you. Welcome to Chicago, North Carolina.

RINO Pat can't get it done in 14 years, and Foxx gets it done before even taking office. Good choice, Charlotte!

Teabagger Mike, if your point is that we need more public transportation all around the county, I completely agree. Instead of spending more on roads, we need to invest more into busses and light rail.
