No she shouldn't. First, look at the requirements. Only members of the armed forces are eligible. What she is did is nothing in comparison to what our military members are doing to recieve the medal of honor in Iraq and Afghanistan.
However, I believe there is an award for heroism that the president can give to civilians. Second, what did she do besides her job? There was another officer there. Should he get one? By many accounts he was the one who shot Hasan. And by all accounts he was the one who stopped Hasan. Why aren't you asking about him getting a medal? He was shot at too.
Now I want to say that I do believe she was brave. She went to stop an armed gunman. All very respectable and admirable. But she doesn't deserve a medal of honor. Neither does the other officer.
If either were to get one it would be a travesty and a mockery of past recipients. There are others who have done much more and recieved lower medals.
