I feel that when I am reading I am actively focused, whereas when listening to a podcast or watching a video, passive. So, then I start to multi-task, and I cannot give my full attention to the material at hand.
Like Lily I still generally prefer text but, whatever the medium used, I like the content to be short and to the point with no waffle (something I find hard to do myself sometimes!), and definitely no hype.
While I like pictures and enjoy seeing how a person moves and speaks, it's still faster for me to read the writing than listening to a video, so text is my #1 preference. I love good writing, but then again if somebody's not the best writer, like a couple of bloggers I follow, then video's a close second.
