A complete betrayal by our government. Yes we need the health system to be fixed, but why fix the parts that work? Cap frivolous lawsuits. Let insurance companies cross state lines so that competition lowers rates. Keep health care between doctor and patient, don't let companies decide what care a person should get. Pass a program that congress would be forced to take ( Congress works for us, WE pay their wages, why do they deserve better than us?)

I agree with the first commenter, that November 7, 2009 is the day the Congress of the United States declared war against its own citizens. That legislators could be so arrogant AND ignorant at the same time is appalling to me and my family (and all the friends I've asked about this topic). I simply can't wait until the 2010 elections to get all these blind-following-the-blind legislators OUT OF OFFICE!

The vote for H.R. 3962 last night in the House is a travesty. November 7, 2009 is a day that will live in infamy, the day the Congress of the United States declared war against its own citizens. The bill is festooned with new government bureaucracies, penalties for non-conformity, and massive new taxes - a wet dream for control freaks. The fiscal claims are fraudulent, and the bill, if passed into law, is guaranteed to complete the job of bankrupting the nation. But the crowning indignity of the bill is that it is a frontal assault on individual freedom. Security without freedom isn't worth warm spit.
