Vande Mataram

Muslims if they care for harmony should be open to sing the song. Fatwa not acceptable

There is a strong case for Muslims not to sing it. Muslim Fatwa is correct

I agree with your post and I am aware of Jana Gana Mana being a song meant for praising the King of England while on a visit to India.

Vande Mataram was the unanimous choice of the National Anthem, but Panditji felt it would not suit a Band playing it, so he chose Jana Gana Mana.

Look, Muslims have to accept the Indian way of life, else find a choice real estate somewhere else.

beautifully written.one small point though.i think that tagore wrote that ode to george v as thanksgiving to the british for the simple reason that hindus had breathed a whiff of fresh air under british after centuries of oppression under the cruel islamic rule.so without faulting him for penning this ode i hold the scoundrel nehru and spineless second rung leaders for foisting this song on the nation as it's anthem due to cunning of nehru and cowardice of the rest of the 'leaders'.
