It's all a matter of chronology. In the early 80s, I wanted to write as "Benjamin Wyseth." In the mid and late 80s, as "Justin Taylor," the name I'd used while smuggling Bibles in Eastern Europe.
When my first novel came out in 2004, I planned to use the pen name "Wil Ericson," but was talked out of it by my agent.
Now that I'm moving into a different market, I get to use that name I've wanted to use since the early 90s.
