This is unrelated but, the Obama medical bill is what I want to discuss. I would like to comfort people in saying that in the UK they have private healthcare company's such as www.bupa.co.uk instead of the NHS (National Health Service) which leads me to tell people that if the US has government-run healthcare people still have their own choice who they want to support them.

Jose: I'm in the US and don't want anything to do with govt. controlled anything. Everything they touch, most of the time, turns into a big and costly problem for we, the taxpayers.
They "SAY" we'll have a choice but the choice will be up to business. If a business only has to pay 8% fine they'll opt for that and force people onto the govt. controlled option.
My husband is a veteran, in the VA system. They are already cutting back. He used to see his "nurse practicioner" once every 6 months. NOW that he's had a mild, very mild, heart attack and a stint put in, they want to make it 1 year.
Colonoscopy from the VA! Once every 10 years and thats with problems. My husband has had polyps in the past. Her response was, well we could check yearly for blood w/the fecal cared.
If I wasn't calling and bugging, who knows what would happen.
Our government NEVER EVER figures correctly. They have this dollar figure, estimated. Well, what will happen when we get older? We seniors know they are NOT going to approve all treatments. It will be cheaper to let us die. The government claims we're being told lies - they think we're really dumb. Well, we are NOT dumb. We know the score and whats down the line for us.
There is so much fraud in govt. everything and instead of cleaning it up, they'll add yet another govt. program on. Our govt. is very corrupt Jose.

I don't have health insurance. I'm in a group of many Christians and we insure each other. Works great and payments are cheap.

I too am amazed at the poor rating for Hilary Clinton's visit to Pakistan. How many women are capable of Diplomatic Negotiations with an anti-female world-view in Middle-East Muslim Country. She is Secretary of State of the United States and her presence must be respected. Women are often the most critical of other women whereas men general accept the Position and not the personality being represented. Kudos to you Madam Secretary.
