Man, that's a lot of hipsters that wasted their parents money on an overpriced, underpowered, novelty computer with no apps, no modding, no games, and no overclocking...

I bought PC because I didn't had enough cash to buy a MAC. I love MAC, though I cannot run Abacus on it.

Is it just me are there any others that are just sick of this now moot question?
I think a better question would be "What OS are you using on your home computer?"
They are all Personal Computers (PC's), both are driven by Intel processors and Intel chipsets.
Other than asthetics, Operating System, and (in the case of Apples) the hardware.. There is no difference..
If you want war, fight over the OS.. not the logo on the case.
Mac: 41% & PC: 40%??
No wonder there is so much Mac fan-boy-ism on Giz!
What am I doing here as a Windows only guy?
I may have to switch blogs unless this is just a matter of Mac fans being more click-happy on polls!

I used to be a Windows/PC fanboy but Vista was so awful than I jumped off the sinking Windows ship to a MacBook Pro. There was a bit of a learning curve but not bad. Mac OS X is very light and tight, and integrated in Ways that Redmond hasn't even discovered yet (Though I'm sure they will and you'll see these features in Windows 9.) And the hardware is awesome, with fast processors, good screens, aluminum construction, large trackpads, slot load drives, great batteries. Not the cheap, plastic sheathed, sticker plastered, crap-ware loaded junk laptops the PC crowd is peddling these days.
I'll let other people decide for themselves. But for me, Steve Balmer will have to pry my MacBook Pro out of my cold dead hands.

Where is the Mac and Linux option? I am forced to use Windows at work, but I do not like to associate myself with Windows, so I prefer to leave it out.

Linux for web-browsing and programming.
Windows for Office.

I have a MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard and Windows 7 installed via Boot Camp. Yay "Ultimate Steal" (minus their customer service and stupid unpacking software rather than giving customers an ISO from the get go).

Macbook Pro running Windows 7 natively.

I use Windows 7 at work and at home. 64-Bit Win 7 no less. It loaded all of the needed drivers at home perfectly and so far none of my existing apps have balked at the 64-bit. Go Win 7!

BootCamp setup. Mac most of the time, and Windows for work, but really I live in the browser, so it doesn't matter. There should be an option to choose Firefox or Chrome.

Mac laptop and Windows desktop, for mostly the same reasons as zap with the addition of gaming on Windows. Oh, and Linux server.
zap - 14 years ago
I use a pc as a desktop because it is upgradeable and much cheaper than a mac pro of equivalent spec, but a mac laptop because it is much less prone to "internet connection? what internet connection?" on wi-fi.

I had those problems too so I installed iWork and haven't looked back. WAY better and FASTER than Office for Mac.
I also use Google Chrome as my web browser. It doesn't open tons of windows like Safari and it hasn't crashed to date!

I switched to mac about 6 months ago, and at first, I was more than happy...but as the time went by, I'm getting annoyed at many bugs in ms office programs, and recently Safari is crashing on me as well...and it used to be such a nice experience with no crashes and such - perhaps I should use mac equivalents of office programs.
I use Mac and I love it :)
