I think Larry Brown and John Fox should switch coaching jobs.
"It is what it is". The real reason Fox/Hurney should leave the Panthers is this statement probaby is true. This means they did not identify, draft, recruit, or pay players who could contribute to the teams goals, which should be win football games. If you have tickets and want to make statement about keeping Fox/Hurney do not attend the games, if you are a Panther fan win or lose go to the game and vocally support the cast.
With everything else going on WBT is concerned about who will play in a football game. Emphasis on "play". It's a game for God's sake, who cares! Who wins or loses will not add a single person to a payroll, nor create the opportunity for a single new business venture. If people would take half as much interest to attend a city council or county commissioner meeting Charlotte would be a much better place to live. You want lively interesting sports to take your mind off your other problems attend a high school game. At least there you are watching young athletes play for the love of the game and not some overpaid jocks that have to be babied and begged to put on a decent performance.
So my answer to the Poll is the option not given, Who Cares!
I keep hearing that Jakes confidence is the problem. Where must Moore's confidence level be when Fox keeps saying Jake gives the Panthers their best chance of winning and then watching Jake another two or three picks. Disappointing decision from Fox again.
WHO CARES? The government is about to take over our incomes and quality of life. this is a GAME!
I agree with Coach Fox. Arizona is the monkey on Jake's back. He has to show that he can get past the game that started this slide. If he can't then he needs to be replaced. The Panther's are almost out of playoff contention anyway. Bottom line: HUGE game for Jake this Sunday.
Amen, Loafer!!! Preach on!!!
Bill, I agree with you. Jake may be able to turn the corner if he can play well against Arizona.
Loafer- can't you ever take a breath and enjoy some of the things that this country has to offer. Football, the World Series. God, we all are aware of the dire times we are in but how about enjoying something. You must be a blast at a party.
If they ask a question about something other than politics, respond to the question or wait unitl the next day.
Yes Jake does give us our best chance to win only because he has the most experience of our options. The staff needs to find a young QB. The Panthers have always gone after B list talent when it comes to this position. Don't know if they are too cheap to pay what is needed, or too shortsighted, or just not smart enough to get a high caliber QB.
On another note, why do these morons post non answers to a specific sports question? Get a life losers.
Wow, I can't believe it! Two straight days WBT Radio has had LOCAL questions, Not right wingnut issues! What is going on!
I'm with Loafer...put me down for one "Who Cares" and a side of "Opiate of the Masses."
Read Loafer's comment, it sums it up and leaves nothing else to say.
Get out and VOTE Tuesday. Your vote could be part of the 50, 100, 200 that make your candidate the winner. Your vote does count!
Sports are fun, but the GDP growing a better-than-expected 3.5%. Now that news! Watch the economy grow, unemployment turn around, and all that before November 2010. It's called a Republican nightmare.
So you brainiacs, like loafer, beth, imdem, jack et al think that by posting such nonsense here you make a difference? Sports are a diversion from all the crap you democrats have created. We are all aware of the problems we face. Why can't we have take a mental break to just enjoy the frivolity of sports. Yes they have no relation to fixing economic problems, but life is not about worry gloom and doom. So just chill folks and take you selfish drivel to an appropriate forum.
The running game gives us the best chance to win. Run the ball coach, run the ball!
Good for Fox to depend on his starter. It shows either huge cajones or brains of an ant. We'll see how they do... in the meantime I'm playing Arizona's defense in my fantasy football league this weekend. :-) I love the Panther's, but lets be honest...
For everyone trying to complain about all the more important things in life. I suggest you turn off the computer and go home to your significant other, dog, cat, kids, mom and/or dad. That's what's important. The government can tax you to poverty, but as long as you have family you have the most important thing covered. We need to focus back on family and community.
right on i m dem
subguy, I hear you. But, to me, politics is sports. You may deem it too serious, but I see it as fun. It's my football. It does not bring me down, and I see no doom and gloom at all, even when my guy or girl is not in power. It's all good. The world does not end when the Pathers don't win, and the world does not end when one party loses. The world has been around for too long to let that bother it.
I.M.Dem - That is the first thing you have ever said that I agree with. Not sure what that means but "it is what it is."
Dan S. - You are all over too.
Steve,
What the heck are you talking about??
IM Dem,
Does the GDP include profit for US based companies that sell products outside the US? Just a question...
IM Dem,
Also does that number account for the cash for clunkers program and housing tax credit sales? I'm pretty sure the cash for clunkers was a huge 1 time economy driver, and unless they continue the tax credit for new home buyers, I expect to see that drop off a bit 1st qtr next year as well. Yes it is a good sign, but people who think will be more curious as to what happens 1st and 2nd qtr next year. I don't see any companies hiring until at least 1st qtr 2011. They are going to wait to see how much additional health costs will be added to new hires and current employees. So if the bill passes you will either see a reduction in hiring and/or a cut in salaries. Either one is going to increase the time it takes for our economy to recover. As one of Obama's Czars said, 10% unemployment will be the new normal... I'm not OK with that, you?
Dan S. - I left out the "it". You are all over it with the fact that family is the most important thing.
imdem, good post. I'm glad you see things in that way. I guess took your post to seriously. It's good to hear from someone with a healthy view of politics.
Be well.
Oh and GO Panthers. bwahahahaha sorry I just had to.
IMD,
It's a sport alright. We are the players and they are becoming the puppet masters. Anyone else feel as though we are in the Coliseum and was that a lion roar I just heard?
Jim, I'm sorry you see yourself as a victim. I don't feel like that at all.
Dan S. GDP has nothing to do with profits. It's the sum of the value of all goods and services produced in a country.
Dan S., clearly, the GDP growth includes the effects of the stimulus package. The stimulus is filling in the of private spending, but eventually the consumer has to pick up spending as well. Without the stimulus, GDP growth would have been substantially lower. Employment generally lags by 3 to six months, so I expect we will see improvements far before the Q1 2011 you predict. 10% unemployment is way too high, and I believe it will drop back to normal levels over time.
