The Congress and Duh Messiuh care nothing about the health of the American People. This entire imbroglio is about seizing control of every aspects of our lives. Note to Congress: [bleep] you! Strong letter follows.
Why is it that yes and no both come with leave our fate to free market. This poll is terrible.
The Constitution nowhere requires health care as a function of the State. This is between the individual and the free market. Today's health system is NOT free market, because of government regulation and legal costs. I would rather pay my health cost myself and get the government and employers out of health care. What we need is to allow health providers to compete across state lines, allow people to take medical costs from taxes and States to have pools to cover major medical conditions. The reason medical costs have gone up is people are not involved in making economic decisions on health care. Having the government involved will further isolate people from deciding, based on cost and need, what health procedures they want to have.
Health care is not a right or an entitlement. The simple solution to the 10 million uninsured (the real #, not 40 million) is to expand existing Federal care to them and not everyone else and this would only cost 300 billion for five years. This is far cheaper than the proposed solution and uses an existing program.
Get the government out of healthcare
It's OK to have a government run option as long as it allows public policies to compete fairly against it.
