Are the news media treating President Obama "better" than they did President George W. Bush?

You better start reading some of the books that are being published and read about facts. Try Castrophe, Fleeced, The Co-Presidency of Bush and Cheney and there are many others. My husband never listens to the shows on TV but we watched Glen Beck for the first time one evening and he said, That man tells it straight!

I find the ad hominem character of the partisans amusing, but becoming more and more boring -- as if small children are arguing. The arithmeitic fact is that the social welfare state -- under a Bush as under an Obama -- is amassing such piles of debt that future public programs of any any all sorts MUST be curtailed simply to meet the debt service. Growing payments to interest equal money which will never be used to provide services to anyone, and the foolishness of growing public debt on the level of cities, counties, states as well as whole nations will only become amplified until the pyramid scheme collapsed of its own weight. In the meanwhile, every dollar paid to interest today is a dollar which could have gone to a real public service. Therefore the social welfare state is no different than paying a credit card with another credit card. The press missed this with Clinton and Bush, and is missing it now with Obama as the deficit is four times greater than Bush's. Political spin and ad hominem attacks are empty noise, while the meter runs up the bill.

There are numerous events that the press has given Obama a pass on; you mentioned just a few. Just imagine how the press would have reacted to Bush appointing a tax evader to head up the treasury, or fired the head of GM, or took over GM, or tried to take over a huge segment of our economy through health care "reform", or had a pastor like Jeremiah Wright for his pastor for 20 years, or was deeply involved with ACORN, or worked with a guy like Bill Ayers, or tried to keep a news organization from having access to the white house, or had made a campaign promise (in the interest of transparency) of posting every bill on the internet for at least five days to allow everyone to read what was being considered, and then failing to do sot. The only things that Obama has done that the press would commend Bush for doing the same things were his release of funds for abortions overseas, loosening the restraints on abortions here, and the removal of protection for those who refuse to perform abortions for moral reasons. The biggest "pass" that the press gives to Obama is their failure to ask the tough questions that need to be answered regarding many of his policies to give a complete picture of what he intends to do.

Olbermann and Maddow of MSNBC are very much like Hannity and Beck of Fox. All four are all highly partisan and not newspeople; they are biased, partisan commentators. The difference, as I see it: Hannity and Beck do not call the opposition childish, disparaging names; whereas Olbermann and Maddow put out a constant stream of disrespectful ad hominems and ridiculous ridicule. I watch all four so that I am kept aware of what is going on with both the far right and the far left.

Mr. Dodson is correct. Obama has never been an executive and doesn't know how to be one. He has been a free ride all the way into the White House and is under the impression that he is to be treated with deference because now he is the HMFIC.

Cheny was right on. They are sick puppies. I listened to CNN and MSNBC tear Bush down for eight solid years, saying some of the nastiest things imaginable. Now they are crying because Obama and his Socialist buddies are getting the same treatment. Bush took it like a man. Obama is acting like a spoiled child.

Bush/Cheney did the same to the best news source on TV, MSNBC. They refused access to their reporters and Cheney called two of the best, Olbermann
and Maddow, "sick puppies", just last week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
