I dont understand this decision to require a paid subscription for Hulu. Hulu content contains advertisements - just like TV. So why does their advertising revenue matrix not scale over the Internet, just as it does with any other existing medium that transmits advertising intermixed with user-desired content?

I call shenanigans on this. The content isn't high enough resolution to remotely warrant this move - never mind the fact that the advertising model works on other broadcast mediums.

@Matthew: I'm sorry, but you're high. Have you seen Apple's pricing model on TV show "passes" via iTunes? Talk about putting the "e" in rap. All the Apple zombies are going to screw the rest of us over.

HD(720p min), download to own(no DRM), no ads, stream the shows live as well as on-demand, CHEAP!(broadcast especially should be no more than $1.00 for an entire season. HBO shows, $2-5 for a season.)

Hulu is great, because it's free and convenient. Take the free out, and I'll never go there again.

I don't want content to expire! I want content on my PS3 or other devices.

I'm less concerned with live/day-of content (I'm a DVR addict, so I watch everything after the fact anyway.) than i am with the selection.

There are a lot of older shows, which I am thrilled about, but there is an alarming lack of shows from certain networks: No CBS at all, and nothing from the larger cable providers.

If Hulu is going where I think they're going, they'll need to be the NetFlix of TV - which means offering programming from all of the major cable & broadcast networks.

As sad as it is, the real reason I can't dump cable is because my 6 year old kid loves Disney and Nikelodian. If they were on Hulu, I'd have a much better chance of going cable-free.

Need them to not be typical big business RIAA-like-tards.

    International access would be nice
