Do you think there is tension between President Obama and Secretary of Defense Gates?

no - at most, it is the media overstating it or stirring up conflict where there is none

yes - and it is evident from Secretary Gates speaking about the need to make a decision in Afghanistan before the election there

I don't know about this

Face it, Gates came out in public expressing the exact opposite of the opinions of the elites presently ruining the White House. Opp's, Of course I meant (running) one I believe spoke one day earlier another the same day as the Gates Interview, the W. H. Elites both saying the President had plenty of time, there was no rush, and you cannot tell me they do not know our people, our troops are dying daily as attacks have increased. Truth is, Gates spoke strongly, expressing the very opposite opinion.
The fact remains our enemy is also hoping to influence O'bamas decision,..Yes,....there has been an acceleration in terror attacks on our Troops, they hope in that way to influence O'bamas decision. Except I believe they may be causing ever more O'bama indecision. Now the truth is rather obvious, Gates and the General, well they are correct, our Troops, need an answer and as Gates said publicly, quickly! Why appoint a new General, if you hesitate and hesitate again when it comes time to follow your own hand picked Generals recommendations? That is my Opinion!

Hopefully there is a deep deep divide. The best thing would be if Gates just bent that little pussy Obama over and F-cked him then kicked his cowardly Ass out of Air Force One at 25,000 feet.

Obam is a joke of a Commander In Chief. A national travesty and tragedy.
Just imagine how the soldiers feel.

Curb, I suggest you curb yourself!
I hope, if there is a divide, General Gates stays around to plan the deposing of Obama as the Army of Honduras did to Zelaya. I hope we are able to rely on our army to protect us and our country from being taken over. Remember Zelaya won the election and gradually changed while in office to become the villain the army ran off.

It doesn't really matter because both Obama and Gates said Gates would only stay for a year. So, Gates should be gone soon. I hope he takes McCrystal with him.

I think our country is going to experience a difficult time over the next few years. This president and his advisors are members of the Chicago School of Bullies. They have been able to get their way there for years. They now want to impose their system on the entire nation. I hope and pray that the people of this country are perceptive enough to see that the current administration lacks the experience and knowledge to help solve this countries problems or to protect us from our enemies. Current attempts to solve our many issues seem naive and disorganized from my perspective.

Obama is incompetent. He came on like Gang Busters, but now has found out that we Americans don't approve of him and can fight back. He has got too much opposition, so he's throwing his hits and misses in all directions, like a child with no guidance. His big plan, Health Care, has failed to charm Americans, so his Socialist aims are falling into the pond. Totally incompetent.

I can't figure this one out. If Gates say's we need the troop's, then Oboma need's to do what is right. if he doesan't want to do what is necessary the Fire Gates and Oboma can take charge. this is no cat and mouse game these are serious issues. but what would Oboma know. he has never been in the military, any branch of it. I really thought George Bush was bad. but Oboma dont even know what he's supposed to be doing. I think his head is up in the cloud's somewhere.

Every time there is a decision to be made by our persident he needs to be pushed. What would happen if was not push him?
