Do you think the federal government should legalize medical marijuana? Right now only 14 states, including RI, allow some use of marijuana for medical purposes.

People seem to be forgetting that the chemicals in Marijuana (THC) can be administered in pill form. Thus, allowing anyone needing it for medicinal purposes to purchase it a the local drug store conveniently in a bottle.

It will help those of us that really need it, to just todo our daily rutine.

People still seem to think that marijuana is considered a gateway to other drugs but if you read your history you will see that marijuana is used much more than healing. It is used for a variety of things which includes books, clothing, lip balm, soap, cooking, etc. I don't see why it is such a big problem because if you look at it this way, when was the last time that you've heard someone say they've benefited from the use of cocaine, alcohol, meth, etc. I think there are a lot more other dangerous things to worry about than the use of medical marijuana.

it should be leagalized for the terminally ill but it should be leagalized federally because if you want to turn the defficite arround this would do it tax it like booze more people use it than liquor and you can function on it also id probloey say over 50 % of americans use it so why fight it just go with it!!!!!!!!

The federal government has no authority in this matter. Read the Constitution especially the 10th Amendment. Most of the so called federal programs are unconstitutional. Our forefathers knew that limited government was best government. That is why they insisted that our government be a Republic not a democracy. Idiots in Washington don't know the difference.

i know people who just want it because they r from the sixties and have smoked it since, yet they get the doctor to sign a form allowing this idiot who has smoked pot for the last 40+ yrs. yet allows teenagers in the home to smoke it and furthermore sells it, if she needs it that bad, why is she selling it?

i do not have a problem with people having medical marijuana for medical reasons, but when you can get a doctor to give you medical card to grow, purchase it,etc. wasn't it designed for the chronically ill, not for people who r just addicted and have the need to smoke it.The doctors in this country will give you anything, even if it means abusing your body with it. There has got to be better guidelines in place before a doctor can just give prescriptions for any f+++ing pothead out there that wants to brag about the pot their smoking is prescribed by their doctor.

And who says it's addictive?? Have you ever smoked it??? Probably not!!!

Better to leagelize it to keep it clean and boost the economy!

If medical marijuana became a prescription it would make sense to make it legal. As long as it is controlled. Heck, I know of many legal prescription drugs that have much more harmful side effects than this.
