It is a smear campaign trying to sway public opinion that FNC is legitimate. They figure if they keep up their talking points that eventually the tides will turn. When we think FOX...we will think "check out magazines". I also think a more sinister motive. They will try to tie in FNC with hate speech and public un-rest. I do not put it past them to conjure up a tragedy and blame it on FNC. These are dangerous times for Freedom And Liberty. They want the public to accept that up-side down is normal. They want to to control our thoughts and free speech through propaganda. FOX will not play like the alphabet networks. You FNC, are in their cross-hairs.

Where's the option for "FNC confuses news and opinion"?

Fair and Balanced indeed. This survey demonstrates why the White House is fed up with Fox twisting facts and opinions to suite their needs.
If Foxnews was actually Fair and Balanced, a choice on this survey would be "Because the Obama Admin honestly believes it to be true."

This poll is whats called a Push Poll. The question is about Obama's reasoning behind his attacks on Foxnews and the only answers you're allowed to give are in defence of Fox.

Fairly Unbalanced. Does anyone who screens these posts have the gonads to allow it to be seen? Not that anyone who watches Foxnews will actually form an opinion not shoved down their throat by Bill O'Reilly or that pecker-head Beck.

Your fourth survey option should read "All of the above, and more". Any journalism student and professional journalist who is intellectually honest will confess that Fox is fulfilling the Fourth Estate's traditional role. The press is supposed to be a gadfly, not an accomplice.

Where's the option for "Because Fox is a propaganda machine"? This poll doesn't seem very Fair and Balanced. Shouldn't you be reporting and letting us decide?

"Any journalism student and professional journalist who is intellectually honest will confess that Fox is fulfilling the Fourth Estate's traditional role. The press is supposed to be a gadfly, not an accomplice."

Someone wasn't paying attention to Fox during the Bush years.

That's a pretty fucking biased poll right there.
That alone shows you why, you ignorant cunts.

Funny - the "tolerant left" is as intolerant of other ideas as I've ever seen. What they want is the elimination of any competition on the field of ideas. Why is it only "fair" if I'm forced to do it? Why is "balanced" equivalent to "here are your choices: my way or my way"?

I wonder how they are able to reconcile their bile with their philosophy. The post from Anon stands out as an example (2009-10-20 10:26:36 ET).

They will not be happy until not only they don't have to avoid FNC, but you can't tune to it.

As to the other comments (re: propaganda): apparently they don't watch Stephanopolous, Olberman and Matthews much. When they agree with the politics, the "pundits" are fair and unpartisan. Otherwise they should be silenced. That about cover it?

RS- If you have been reading foxnews you would see many examples of the facts presented. The poll does not include references to the myriad citations necessary to direct the reader to the sources. That is the reader's responsibility. If you do a little homework you will see numerous examples presented with facts to back the stories. I would first refer you to the pieces covering Anita Dunn, white house communications director, her own words makes the case for the premise of the poll. if you do not want to know the truth it is easy to avoid. Anon, Brilliant analysis, again if you cannot make your case with facts, why not just act like a jerk.

As already pointed out, this poll in itself is biased. I should make my own poll to mirror this.

The White House is still attacking Fox News, 10 days after its original comments. Why?
a) Fox News deserves to be called out.
b) They have a valid case
c) I don't know

This is the same thing Fox News just did just skewed a different way.

This poll tells us all we need to know: it offers no choice for any opinion unflattering to Fox News' political interests.

The left couldn't make a better satire of a Fox poll than Fox made for themselves.

What News?

Foremost, the options of what to vote on are bias... Oh, FoX NeWs is not a NEWS OUTLET, it's a tongue of the GOP, Grand Ole Pussies.

Ditto! Where's the option for "FNC confuses news and opinion"?
