will i must say that im going to have to eat some things that i said about him.you have to look at it like this. citys and our county are rising taxes at a time like this we have not.the city is still one of the best citys to live in and thats why i live here. i think we should keep him but just tune down what he makes and what go's with it. no one person should make that much money. when the people that run our country all must dont make that.becouse of what he and other have done for the city to rise money so we as a city can have money for a rainy day well guess what now our rainy days are here so just think about that.thanks

City spokeswoman Shannon Vezina issued the following statement about McGarry’s comment:
Mr. Gretsas was not fired from his last job, nor was he employed in upstate New York.

He should be fired. He has done nothing but lie and bs the city Comissioners with his calculations and budget information he presented to them since he was hired.
No one ever checked into why he was fired from his last job as a city manager in upstate ny (doing the same thing). He even brought some of his cronies with him to be his assistants. He put one of them into the office next to the Chief of police so that he could run back to gretsas with any information he could while Gretsas was trying to destroy the Police Dept with so many budget cuts which hurt the citizens of Ft Lauderdale. That person had no police experience what so ever.
