only if all union members are forced to have a higher income tax rate at both the state and federal levels. taxpayers should not have to subsidize union salaries. if union companies can not compete with their cost structure then they need to lower costs. government should not intervene and tip the playing field toward the unions.

No one should be forced to join a union in order to work. Unions should not have the right of preventing non-union workers from employment. Everyone
should have the freedom to choose whether or not to join a union. Having a job should not hinge on belonging to a union. Unions have too much control. Most unions are political in nature and much too powerful. Union members think they are the only ones who should be hired for construction work. That is wrong. Everyone has the right to work, whether they belong to a union or not.
