Is a one-time $250 payment to seniors, vets, retired railroad workers and people with disabilities worth adding to the federal budget deficit?



Yes. It’s small and I’m worried about the deficit, but with winter heating season rapidly approaching vulnerable segments of the population need financial help.

No. The amount of the payment is too small to provide effective help. I think if the president is worried about vulnerable segments of the population he should push for a cost of living increase.

No. The federal budget deficit is out of control. Obama and the Democratic-controlled Congress should stop handing out money.
