As a healthcare worker, I strongly believe it is my choice whether to get a flu shot or not. To say that I have to is an infringement on my rights. You can't tell Jehovas Witness they have to take blood. How can you mandate that we must get the shots. I'm sure if this is taken to court that it would not be legal.
I will tell you that I get the flu shot every year, but that is my choice!

Of course they should be required to get their flu shots, just like other common inoculations. I firmly believe that they should have the right to refuse something that only impacts them. The problem is that they can catch the flu and then give it to patients who have a compromised immune system, which puts the patient at risk of getting worse or can even cause their death. They have a right to risk letting themselves get sick, but not the right to risk to endanger someone else. If they don’t want the vaccine, then they shouldn’t be allowed to be around patients. This isn’t about the choice of someone risking the chance of getting a runny nose, this is about the possibility of endangering the lives of the patients they are paid to care for.
