What do you think about the singing of ``God Bless America''?

It's good. The Kings should keep it.

Good in concept, but needs a great singer.

Sing ``America The Beautiful'' instead.

Bring back the national anthem, now.

Why not sing two songs?

Myself and my party of 6 were there opening night and were truly beside ourselves when the singer sang God Bless America instead of the THE NATIONAL ANTHEM !! We thought perhaps she had brain fade and inadvertently sang the wrong song. If you ain't Kate Smith, sing the Anthem, and don't mess it up!

I hope I'm wrong but it's been my experience that people who don't want to sing the National Anthem do so out of embarrassment over "Nationalism" and are not really proud to be "Americans" as much as they love America. They love the Goden Gate Bridge, or maybe Dodger dogs and Venice Beach. But they don't love (or even know) what America stands for. Whenever I hear America the Beautiful (a wonderful song) instead of the National Anthem my first thought is "Oh they are not very proud to be American".

I was soooo disappointed on opening night and still not thrilled the next game. Please bring back the National Anthem, its part of my hockey experience.

it should be the national anthem and only the national anthem. God bless America is really a prayer. it is not right to be asked to stand and remove headgear and participate in a prayer at a sporting event. maybe a silent prayer on an individual basis for a Kings victory would be a better idea.

As a member of the military, a season ticket holder, and just being American in general, I am shocked that we don't have the national anthem being sung before each game. I heard a rumor as to why we aren't, and I think it's rediculous. I also find it rediculous that somehow, someone cannot have them stop selling beer and refreshments while our national anthem is being sung. Before everybody stones me, I do drink beer and get refreshments prior to the start of the game. If I cannot make it to my seat in time for our anthem, I have no problem waitng a few more minutes until the anthem is over. They do this at Dodger stadium, and I think it is very respectful. Some things ARE more important than the 'almighty' dollar. I have written letters, posted comments, talked to many different season ticket reps i've had, and everyone I have spoken with 'seems' to agree that sales should be momentarily stopped. What else must I do or do u think I'm being too patriotic?......

I agree with S. Lewis although I believe that the stoppage should occur because all of the people decide to stop what they are doing and give a moments thought to the nation, not because they are being told to stop. Obviously that means that not everyone stops but hey, this is America.
