Wow. Ricky, I've got to ask. What source did you get this information from? It's big stuff. Without the Main event Mafia, Tna will fail in mere months.

  • Ricky - 14 years ago

Remember that he was gpoing to sign in 2001. So he has thought about signing and he might.

  • Paul - 14 years ago

I could go on to name a ton of other people they did similar things to as well. Vader and Flair were just the first two that came to mind.

Look at how poor Andre the Giant spent the last couple years of his career. He went something like 20 years without ever being defeated, finally losing to Hulk Hogan. Then toward the end of his career, he spent an entire summer being beaten every single night by The Ultimate Warrior in matches that lasted under a minute! He was getting squashed like a jobber!

The list goes on and on. If this debate were in one of the other forums, tons of people would probably recall stars I've forgotten. And don't even get me started on how WWE has taken established, beloved stars and given them terrible, humiliating gimmick changes. :::sigh:::

Sad to say, as much as we'd all love to see Sting step into a WWE ring, he's probably far better off staying put.

  • Ricky - 14 years ago

You do have a point with that one Vader was a former World Champion along with Flair and both had downfalls. However we don't know what wil hppen.

  • Paul - 14 years ago

If you think the WWE cares a great deal about people's lasting legacy, think again. Throughout the '80s, they made a practice of bringing in and then devaluing wrestlers who were legendary in other federations around the world. They turned wrestlers who had tremendous winning records on the independent circuits into jobbers on a near daily basis.

Look at how they used Vader during the '90s or early '00 as a monster heel only to job him out at the end. They did the same to Flair, who went from unbeatable to losing night after night at house shows before being somewhat redeemed with his WM loss to Shawn Michaels.

That's what they would do with Sting, I'd almost guarantee. He is much better off staying someplace where they keep him legendary, keep his losses to a minimum and use that legend to help elevate up-and-coming wrestlers.

If you think that's "stupid," Ricky, then you're free to your opinion. I base mine on the company's history and its business practices, not whether or not I'm a fan (which I am) of WWE.

  • Ricky - 14 years ago

Thats funny Triple H did win the WWE Championship a few times before he was with Stephanie.

  • Triple H - 14 years ago

Eric, Im only here because im fucking the bosses daughter

  • Eric - 14 years ago

I forgot to mention Randy Orton as well as Triple H are the only two guys that make WWE. Otherwise WWE sucks, TNA is better and TNA is way better now that Russo and Ferrara are in charge of creative.
Russo and Ferrara made WWE the supreme show back in the late 90's after Bishoff made WCW the supreme show with the NWO (96-late 97/early 98) but didn't have a plan B afterwards.
Once Austin, Rock, Foley were main eventing and the NWO was getting old, WWE took control of the ratings then Triple H took Foley's spot to make it Austin, Rock, Triple H and WCW was just dying BEFORE Russo was hired, WCW was a sinking ship BEFORE Russo was hired and he couldn't save it because it was already gone.
Austin, Rock, Foley, Triple H outlasted the NWO in WCW and therefore WCW sank, especially without a plan B after the NWO.

I just want to let peope know. Why would WWE bury Sting? Thats real easy they won't. When you aren't a fan of WWE you think they'll do anything. I' a fan of Pro Wrestling. I like WWE and TNA. I want to see Sting go to WWE because he has never competed there and there are fueds I want to see I think that saying WWE will bury him is stupid because look at what he has done he will not be buried.

  • Paul - 14 years ago

Before someone jumps down my throat, I'm talking about Steiner's run in WWE as a solo performer, after WWE/WCW merged. I'm aware he's a multiple-time WWE tag champ.

  • Paul - 14 years ago

Seriously, Steiner still looks great, but his promos and in-ring work tend to be less-than-stellar. The WWE didn't know what to do with him the first time around. Notice that he didn't win a single belt while in WWE. Meanwhile, Nash's knees are about ready to give out at any second. He's great on a microphone, but with the gray hair, he looks even older than he is. I just don't see WWE wanting him for much.

Booker T and Angle would both be great additions to WWE, but I'd prefer they stay in TNA. Too bad Booker has been completely mis-used in the company. He should have been a serious contender for the World Title.

As for Sting . . . I would hate to see him go to WWE only to be buried and never given the chance to shine that he deserves. It would be a terrible ending to a legendary career.

  • Ricky - 14 years ago

Updated news Kevin Nash is staying in TNA with his contract up to year. Scott Stiner is rumored to be leaving TNA over the Jeff Jarrett Situation. Booker T is rumorted to be heading back to WWE. Kurt Angle is still up in the air as staying or going. Sting is the same. Mick Foley is the same.

  • Joepapi - 14 years ago

dude ok i know this is weird but kurt angle because i ABSOFREAKINLUTLY loved wm 22 with the triple threat of kurt and i want to see more of that sting is my second choice

  • Paul - 14 years ago

It's a shame that TNA has misused Booker T during his time with the company. I don't care what others say, I think the man's bug-eyed promos are hilarious! It would be great for him to return to WWE. Maybe they could bring him back to attack the winner of the 2010 King of the Ring. His "King Booker" gimmick was priceless. That accent was horrible, which made it great!

  • mdbris - 14 years ago

Sting would be cool but it's kind of his draw that he has never wrestled for the WWE. He's the most over superstar to have never wrestled in a WWE ring so I kinda don't want him to. Although of course a Taker/Sting feud could be epic.

Kurt Angle was my vote simply because he's the best. The only worry with him is the harder work load of WWE compared to TNA so he's more likely to die in a WWE ring than a TNA one.

Booker would be cool and is probably the most likely to return soon. He won't be main eventing though if he returns. He'd take on a mid card role to build future superstars. Couldn't see him main eventing again on WWE television, Kurt and Sting are the only 2 that could walk right into a main event feud.

PS: Can you imagine a random RAW episode and Kurt's music starts... Oh yeah, I'd mark out!

  • james - 14 years ago

i vote sting because he would be a crazy fool not to even think about going to wwe for his last run.his career wouldn't mean anything if he passes up that opportunity to not only go out in true fashion but to have a real best of sting dvd out.thats basically want he really wants and also to do a wrestlemania and i disargee heavy with you big time gemini.vince does need sting cause if he didnt he would show him on alot of dvd that had something to do with wcw and now that the wwe has gone pg13 that would be a major intrest to sting along with a heavy part time schedule and i also doubt that they would misuse him and try to bury him cause he has that exact star power that triple h,hbk and undertaker have.so i do see him going on a brief run to wwe to finish his career off in the right way and i would also like to see kurt angle as well as booker t.(who's on his way back to wwe) back as well..kevin nash, scott steiner and mick foley?..nah...i dont think so.

  • Gemini - 14 years ago

Kurt Angle is a hgh junky and is pretty much uncontrollable in the locker room. He would be like bringing in TO. Scott Steiner cant work with anybody and flat out cannot sell a move. He has more muscle than brains and probably cant even scratch his own back. Either one of these guys would be like promoting Jeff Hardy as a drug dealer. Booker T is the worst black actor I have seen since the movie "White Chicks". He sucks, always has, but he has all the credibility in the world and I would rather see him wrestle then Bill Regal (who all the sudden cant fall flat on his back or stomach...). Kevin Nash is the only one that could make a decent impact. Nash is a big big man and has major pull with Triple H and Shawn. Even if he was a bodyguard or another member of DX it would be tremendous. Sting has gone 30yrs without Vince's help and declined millions of dollar and tons of contracts. I doubt that Vince wants him or needs him now that he is 47 yrs old (sting). Sting needs to stay and be the heart and soul of TNA for the younger talent. The only one I really would like to see back is Mick Foley! He can do anything and everything and could solve that whole Raw GM issue. Mick could give you 3 or 4 unbelievable matches a year and provide plenty of hilarity. Mick just didnt like all the confusion while he was commentating, he figured it would be more loose. Lets be honest though, Mick owns part of TNA and if Jarrett hits the road with all of his former WcW Creative, Mick can mold TNA into a new generation of hardcore wrestling. The most likely choice for Vince would be Booker T (although I dont like him), Booker has his own wrestling school and could also teach young talent and get them over.

  • conrad - 14 years ago

oh and mick foley he left wwe cos he was getting sick of vince yelling at him though the ear phones while calling matches telling to do this and that ur doing it wrong and all that shit. so scott and mick i 100% dont want them back in wwe

  • conrad - 14 years ago

booker ts contract finshes up in november hes leaving then to go to wwe. i would love for nash to go to wwe to do somethink with him. booker t could maybe team with gold dust move gold dust to smackdown and make them a tag team babyfacejust to start off or go after the ic title. i really like him being world champ. angle go to raw and be in the main event with the wwe title. dont want scott back in tna. so i would be happy seeing that. i want nash and booker t and angle but i would like sting to be in wwe for 1 year. and have about 5 month fued. then maybe batista or get a trade to raw and fued with hbk. idk but i would really like to have atleast a 6 month fued with taker and sting.

  • PRICELESS - 14 years ago

I voted Booker T because he has a lot of Backstage heat on him and when TNA was down in South America, TNA MANAGEMENT wasn't pleased with is behavior. Also it is very unlikely he will renew his contract and will jump back to WWE. Also a possibility who will be returning to WWE is Kurt Angle. His Contract expires next spring I believe but not positive on that. So who knows anything can happen.

  • Tom - 14 years ago

Kevin Nash is the only one who could provide something we haven't seen in a long time to WWE. Sting would be my second choice, but just the fact that part of his legacy is that he has never been there should be why he DOESN'T go there. Kurt Angle, we've already seen that. Same with Booker, Foley, and Steiner. Kevin Nash could play a role that I hear people shouting about all the time, staying out of the ring and being a mouthpiece as HBK's manager before they last retire. Like he has said before, he was there toward the beginning of Shawns big singles career, and it would be so awesome for him to be there at the end.

  • Amanda - 14 years ago

I agree with Eric's first comment. Not that HHH is the one wrestler that keeps me watching WWE, but that WWE sucks right now and none should go there.

However I disagree with the second comment because I like Steiner. Apparently he's very willing to put over younger talent, and I always love how dumb his promos are. Booker T I could do without though. Nash too.

  • Eric - 14 years ago

Furthermore, Booker T and Scott Steiner bore me to death and always have other than when Steiner was a loose cannon towards the end of WCW. Therefore, Booker and Steiner should just leave TNA and stay away from WWE because WWE does not need more dull/boring characters.

  • Harry - 14 years ago

I wish all of them apart from Kurt and Steiner (For his promos) would just leave TNA, they bring nothing but slow matches and burial of youngsters to TNA

  • Eric - 14 years ago

None because WWE sucks other than Triple H. TNA is way better.

  • Steve - 14 years ago

Angle no doubt. Booker, Steiner, Nash and Foley aren't even worth considering in this poll. It would be great to see Sting for a year but overall I'd rather see Angle for 5 years than Sting for 1.

Wow. Ricky, I've got to ask. What source did you get this information from? It's big stuff. Without the Main event Mafia, Tna will fail in mere months.

  • Ricky - 14 years ago

I voted Sting. I still want to see Sting vs. The Undertaker. The Main Event Mafia is leaving TNA. Sting maybe not? Kevin Nash has said he will go to WWE for Shawn Michaels last year in wrestling. Kurt Angle has said he wants to do movies. Bookert T is headed to WWE. Scott Stiner isn't going to WWE due to his comments about Triple H. Mick Foley (not a Main Event Mafia Member) may return due to his heat in TNA.

  • Daniel Keenahan - 14 years ago

    Kevin Nash for me. ;)
