When you're on a first date, how do you deal with the dinner bill?

I try to pay the whole bill myself. I like to treat the guy on the first date.

I insist on splitting the bill. I like to start off as equals.

I do "the reach" for my wallet (as a polite gesture), but let him pay.

I let him pay, but I insist on leaving the tip.

I sit back, let him pay and then graciously thank him for a wonderful dinner.

Ladies, let a man be a man. If he asked you out - let him pay for the first meal. After that, if you like, a small thank you gesture such as note or something small that says thank you. This is supposed to be romance after all, not a business transaction.
