why has President Obama not moved to change "don't ask, don't tell?"

Obama ALWAYS says what he thinks will get him votes OR get his approval up in the polls.
This is where I liked Bush. He didn't care what he poll numbers where if he was doing the right thing. It showed him to sale it better, but he did what he was suppose to do.

I don't understand the GLT community. During the campaign and debate he stated or Biden stated that they (obama/biden) believed marriage was between and man and a woman. I didn't hear any negativity toward them about this from these groups, and if there was any, it was minimal and yet they hugely supported him. obama was indoctrinated at a young age, as a muslim and they do not believe in homosexuality. So for him to court these groups and for them to openly accept his words, shows one of two things: 1) he's the master orator and everything he says is for self serving advancement (duh) and he will say and has said, anything for support and attention. Also, in this case to divert attention from Healthcare and Afghanistan, and 2) these groups, like so many others, are so naive and vulnerable that they are willing to believe him now. I think we will all see eventually, that this potus is not true to his word, to any group other than the ones that have deep pockets and can advance him to king of the world.
