Obama, who has publicly committed to improving America's image abroad, was named recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize for, the Nobel committee said, his initiatives to reduce nuclear arms, ease tensions with the Muslim world and stress diplomacy and cooperation rather than unilateralism.
A complete shocker! After reading about the biblical history of the name Obama in both Jewish and St.James bibles, then hearing about those who claim the end of the world in 2012, now I'm concerned. I used to laugh at those predictions. Now I'm not too sure they won't happen. Guess we'll just have to "live large and not worry" since we aren't doing anything to correct the problems.
How can anyone be upset because our President was award the Nobel PEACE Prize? This recognition is extremely significant in our international relations. We, as Americans, benefit.
The Obama administration has already engaged Iran in an effort to limit their development of nuclear weapons, and has improved the tone of America's relationships with foreign nations
State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley said it well when he told reporters on Friday, "From our standpoint, you know, we think that this gives us a sense of momentum … when the United States has accolades tossed its way, rather than shoes," .
