Golf is more skillful than some other Olympic sports and fully deserves it's place, so long as the competitors are amateurs. The thought of people like Tiger Woods turning up with all the entourage seems completely at variance with the 'Olympic spirit'.

Olympic Golf ?
Yes but ONLY for true Amaruers
NOT for the overpaid or oversponsored
Competitions POST Olympics for the selected players
ALL handicaps to Participate
Proffesionals and Pseudo Proffessionals NOT welcome
In general the Olympic games were for the Amatuer - AS IT SHOULD BE

I agree that golf should now be included in the Olympics as it is just as much a physical and skilful sport as some of the other games, but I also believe all competitors should be of armature status.
The Olympics is now turning into a situation far from the outset and early beginnings where armatures only could compete.
Do you not think there are plenty of professional only sports, whereas now if this is allowed to continue the armature will end up becoming disregarded and the Olympics will become full of professional entrants, for the armatures cannot compete on equal terms.

I FEEL THE SAME AS ADAM&DAVE IT SHOULD ONLY BE FOR AMATEURS.
NEVER MIND THE TOP 60 THERE ARE PLENTY OF YOUNG MEN AND GIRLS
OF +2 HANDICAPS AND BETTER THATS WHO SHOULD BE PLAYING NOT THE
PRO'S.

The Olympics was formed for amateurs to compete in !! Will Tiger turn up without his usual appearance money ? or is his interest only about how much his branding can expand . He has a job to turn up for the Ryder Cup , so i can,t see him fitting in the Olympics 1

I BELIEVE GOLF SHOULD BE INCLUDED BUT, ONLY IF AMATEURS PLAY.
THE OLYMPIC SPIRIT WAS ALWAYS ABOUT TAKING PART.
SPORT HAS GONE PROFESSIONAL BUT GOLF SHOULD BE A PART OF THE OLYMPICS BUT ONLY IN THE ORIGINAL SPIRIT OF THE "GAMES".
THAT'S WHY WHY I BELIEVE IT SHOULD ONLY BE AMATEURS WHO PLAY.
WHO KNOWS PERHAPS THE NEXT GREAT BRITISH PLAYER WHO WINS THE OPEN WILL BE A FORMER OLYMPIC CHAMPION.
