Wakeup people. The rocket booster & the LCROSS module were already in lunar orbit. I think it was better crash the booster into the moon in hopes of learning if water is present than letting it join the 10s of thousands of other space junk orbiting the earth. Besides $79M is a drop in the bucket compared to the $20+Billion that was given to GMC with little or no effect.......
