Everyone do yourself a favor......................turn to 1660 Americas Morning News.......Al and Stacey need to report the news and not report their opinions as news..................

1660 also has Glen Beck so you can avoid Keith Larson...............i dont know about you but im sick of Keith patting himself on the back about how wonderful he is

So, Keith, why are you here giving your penny's worth of your opinion?

Chris

Keith, you are becoming more annoying then Al. As for the flu shot- never had one, don't plan on starting now. Get out and get some fresh air. You'll be fine.

Did you hear what the whackos at Bank of America said? They're not going to raise interest rates on their credit cards and are concerned about the backlash against card issuers? What sort of bullshit statement is that?????? They ALREADY RAISED INTEREST RATES... Those dumb shmucks already raised our rates into the upper 20% range AND slashed our credit lines. I think a criminal investigation is perfectly within reason. I am SO HAPPY Lewis is out. For all I care - that entire bank could collpase tomorrow. Dont WORRY - the fear-mongering about how bad it would be for Charlotte have no clue as to what reality is -- there is MORE to Charlotte than BOA. Idiots. Every last one of them. AND YES, this IS on topic as its RELEVANT to our daily lives. Not that hoax H1N1 - which ranks right up there with global warming.

I have not decided on the H1N1 vaccine. I plan to wait until it is available and discuss the pro and con with my health care provider. Not matter what I alone will make the decision and the results will be my fault and no one elses.

Nothing I want more than to use my family as "Beta Testers" for the new H1N1 vaccine.

Oh, and by the way Al, I do want reform, but I want government to reform to its constitutionally authorized functions...that alone will actually fix more problems in healthcare than anything Obama and the democrats are proposing. Combine tort reform with removing government tentacles from every facet of our lives and watch the American people with their ingenuity end these hard times and return to prosperity.

more than 36,000 people die from other strains of the flu each year, compared to about 700 from the pig flu in the last year.i think that this is just a big push by the media to take the attention away from other important issues such as the healthscare bill and kneecap and tax.

2009-10-07 12:27:33 ET

You better believe the government is pushing the flu shot for H1N1, it does take away from news that we want to hear. How many hours has the morning show spent on getting, not getting the H1N1 flu shot? Numerous. Divide and conquer. Give us distractions, we are to stupid to figure out what they are doing. And the majority of the media has fallen for the distractions.

Sadly, I have to get the shot due to my place of employment requiring that I either get it - or wear a mask until March.

Keith must work for 1660.

I just found out that my employer will have health clinics where all employees can get the flu shots for free. And they will pay for all family members too. I am getting the shots for the first time. I have had the flu. Never again if I can help it.

Lisa

DMG, wear the mask. You have no idea what they'll inject into you. Do you want to hear that, 10 years down the road 'those who took that pig flu shot in 2009 are 80% more likely to come down with .................' Something like that. I guarantee that we'll hear that but it will never make the top of the news because its the news that is pushing this pig flu joke... its a liberal media distraction to the real issues going on out there. Issues like how the health care push is just about dead. No one wants it yet the media will never, ever tell you this. I have family and friends on all 'sides' of politics and not one of them wants this government health control system. They all agree that its vapor-ware (as we say in the computer programming world). Its empty, valueless and non-existent. I've been listening to 1660 this morning. I see nothing different. Same lying commercials that promise to remove your debt and your obligations to the IRS because "its not your fault" that you purchased LCD televisions and go on vacations when your responsible side was nagging you to buy health insurance for your family. Lying and scheming commercials like the promise to put hair on your head. You're bald - get over it. Grow up. People do not care if you're bald. They care if you're honest and loyal to your family and friends. My God. Time to turn off the radio because the mediatards just dont get it - people see right through every one of you.

Kathy

It's free! Why would I not get it? This is exactly what I expect from the government - taking care of citizens.

Kathy,
1) The vaccine is essentially untested. It was given short term trials and hasn't even been proven somewhat effective in preventing H1N1. Some side effects were noted. The last H1N1 vaccine (1970's) was responsible to an increased risk of Guillain-Barre syndrome. Considering a normal healthy adult has little risk of complications of death from the flu, I'll skip the vaccine. The 1 in a million chance of Guillain-Barre syndrome is not worth getting out of a week's worth of illness.

2) Vaccinations are short term preventative. Getting a strain of flu better immunizes you from getting it in the future.

3) The current regular flu shot is already proving to be an immunization for the wrong strain of flu.

4) Flu shots all include theomersal as a filler. The h1n1 has nearly double the amount of filler as a normal flu shot. Theomersal is the mercury containing ingredient that was being related to autism in young children from vaccines given up until 2003. So my child will not be getting the shot either. Again, she might get sick, but the risk of getting sick vs autism.. I'll roll the dice on treating a sick girl.

So.. no I'm not getting a shot. I don't care if it's free. I'll wear a mask. Look up Guillain-Barre syndrome and tell me if it's worth the risk. You have a better chance of having serious reaction to the flu shot than winning the lottery.

No way am I getting the H1N1 vaccine. It is an unproven, rush to market, government sponsored scare tactic. How can it be free Kathy? Someone has paid for it. Again, if someone else is forced to pay so it can be given to Kathy somehow it is free? Kathy you need a lesson in economics 101.

Lisa, Leave us bald people alone. We have enough trouble trying to get the shine on top just right. Why are we charged the same as people with a full head of hair at the Barber Shop? They only take 1/2 the time to cut our hair? Come to think about it government should get involved in this! We need more regulation on Barbers! Obama should appoint a Hair Czar! Why can't we recycle all that hair lying on the Barber Shop floor. We could burn that instead of coal to generate electricity. A new renewable energy source! We should get paid for donating our hair clippings depending on the amount. Of course all us bald people should get a tax credit for hair that we can't donate anymore because it just wouldn't be fair.

Kathy, for the love of God, PLEASE go take a civics class before you open your mouth again.

As for the vaccine? If the Obama administration says its safe, that's all I need to know! Neither myself nor my kids will be getting it!

Does anybody know a way that I could trade my free suidae flu shot for a bottle of single malt scotch instead?

Kathy, Nothing is Free-don't you understand that? Just because you are not paying for it does NOT mean it is free. I learned that when I was 12. I would say it is time for you to learn it as well. Learn it now or learn it later, when your children have to pay for it all.

Rahm Emanuel said a crisis is a terrible thing to waste. No sooner was O-bummer in office than we were having a "global pandemic" and he's pushing socialized healthcare. NO WAY! I don't even think this is a genuuine threat but fear not; there is a bottle of hand sanitizer on every horizontal surface in sight and foam on every wall even though the H1N1 virus is spread by coughing and sneezing...it's an airborne virus. Good grief...

Democats are trying to instill fear in the population and have their liberal media blowing H1N1 out of proportion.

I got the regular flu shot this morning and asked the nurse about the pig shot. She said she would not touch that on because it is being rammed through with proper testing. Ever since the Obots voted in Dear Leader, EVERYTHING keeps getting "rammed through." Whether we, the tax-paying citizens, want it or not.

We are all getting "rammed" by these Dems if you catch my drift and it isn't though Congress.

All, it's still free in my book. Last year I had to pay for it, and I did not get it. This year I am not paying for it, and I will get it. I think it's really that simple.

Dan S., your Viagra has side effects, too. That does not stop you, does it?
