Everyone poo-poo's the 2CV's (and derivatives') tiny 602cc engine and low bhp. However, the cars are so darn light that it's amazing how quick they can be! I've run a 2CV around the Washington, DC area for 10 years; it has plenty of pick up to happily cruise not only the city streets, but also the Beltway...at 60-65 mph, easily. (Full disclosure: when you add passengers, however, things do slow down quite a bit... :)
