Should taxes be raised on people who make more than ONE MILLION DOLLARS a year?

ANYONE that votes for a tax increase has lost more bolts and screws than a Studebaker.

Why punish those who are wealthy by making them pay more taxes? Why should someone pay more taxes just because they are successful in their career or took care of their money? And no, I am not a millionaire. Far from it. Cut taxes and cut spending.

I voted "no" because I don't make a million a year and don't know what their tax rates are. If I can see what someone making $1M pays in taxes, then I can give a more informed opinion or vote.

I don't make anywhere close to a $1M a year but I think it is knee-jerk to vote yes to a tax raise for someone who makes a M a year without knowing what they pay NOW in taxes. The more money people make the more they pay in taxes anyway.

There is only one way taxes should be raised on someone who earns 1 million dollars or more a year, and that is if they are Hollywood liberal leftists!

I think taxes should be LOWERED for everyone. With that said, of course the budget needs to be balanced so that there is NO deficit spending. Also, taxes should be fair across the board. No loop holes. If everyone pays the same percentage of their true income, we all win.

Taxes should not be raised on anybody. This poll just proves most of us have an inate fairness and a lot of common sense. Something Washington lacks. Our senators and reps have been there too long..and that goes for Ron Paul too. I'm for taking all the phone books in the country and pickiing our reps out of it and give them just two years and send them on their way. The president should only get 4 years..not one minute more..even Ronald Reagan as much as I trusted him. And there should be a law that ex-presidents stay out of politics, write their memoirs and shut up.

My income is 10,000 a year including Social Security plus a little from my sons none of which are millionaires and I say your property is yours no matter how much it is. Don't raise taxes on any one. What the government can do to one it can sooner or later do to any one and everyone.

We all should pay taxes. But the middle and wealthy classes shouldn't be singled out, intentionally to pay higher rates, we're are already paying alot. I think the middle class will suffer the most because the extreme wealthy and the lower classes have entitlements and other ways of not paying, that reduce what they pay and owe. Time will tell what obama considers wealthy, middle and lower class incomes, but I'm guessing that even those who make as little as $15,000-$20,000 will see tax increases. We certainly know that small businesses are going to get taxed and they will pass that on to the consumers, because they have no choice. The tax increases along with the madates of the healthcare bill on Small Businessess to insure or face fines, we will see owners just shut down. And, that is the intention of this administration. Scum like Michael Moore and others, who made millions being capitalists, will survive, because they have so much money, and, if they are honest they will have to pay the higher taxes imposed, but I'm not counting on anyone associated with this potus or any capitalist turned social ists, to be honest when it comes to tax time. I am certain that this admin will be the most corrupt and most covered up ever in the history of American. They will do as much damage as they can unless they are voted out in 2010 and 2012. And for us honest tax paying middle class American's, we are going to suffer greatly, which again, is the intent. All the people are in place to change our society and government. We are in for a very sad and scary time in the next few years. Just look at what's been done in 9 months. And when the Bush tax cuts expire, inflation will be unbearable.

Top money makers already pay 40% of all taxes. Jobs, all we eat, wear, and use are the result of someone's innovation and motivation and they become wealthy......good for them and good for us. The gov't sees the wealthy as a deep pocket which is easier than balancing the budget. Our government should STOP THE SPENDING.

would be more jobs and people to spend money; but then they would
