Rushing for 191 yards on 24 carries is a great stat and wonderful accomplishment. Based on the numbers (stat) alone, you should win Player of the Week. However, even if you do not win this award, you should win Player of the Year with these types of stats. Continue to work hard and do well on the field and in school and I know you will be playing at the next level (college) and someday playing in the NFL on Sundays.

Someone has broken this site and voted almost 180 votes as of right now (12:44) as when I turned computer on Chris Ashford had 71 votes and Garner had 130 and I started refeshing page and each time I did so Chris had jumped 25 or more each time. Called webmaster and he checked and said one person was doing all of this. So I hope OA news does correct thing and take away the illegal vote and he will be in last place then.

actually, statistically Garner had a better game. He averaged 17.28 yards a carry and a TD every 2.3 touches. Ashford averaged 7.95 yards a carry and a TD every 6 touches. So statistically Garner had the better night. He also had 10 tackles and a broken up pass defensively. I'm sure Ashford had some defensive stats to I just don't happen to know his. Both good athletes and both deserve the recognition.

well all people can judge by is the stats given so without all the mumbo jumbo. chris ashford SHOULD win.

plus how do you know garner should get it if you dont know chris ashfords defensive stats to compare it too?!

This voting got way out of control! I agree with jessicuh. Just a huge popularity contest. All three men had a great game! I think they (OAN) should come up with a new way to make a player "Player of the Week" other than just voting. Maybe 40% should have to do with stats and 60 % should just be people voting for their favorite player. All this one turned into was a glorified popularity contest!

How about someone come to a game and see that Chambers has maybe 1/2 the players that Lee Scott has and Chris Ashford never gets to comeout of the game on either side of the ball or special teams and he never complains one bit and as far as the defense goes opposing teams run away from him and his younger brother out of fear because they have already knocked a few people out of games so far this year.
P.S. Chris also shares time in the backfield with his brother Brandon who had 108 yrd and a TD so he doesn't comprise his whole teams offense and he is truly a BEAST.

Way to go Will you are an exceptional football player. It have been a pleasure to watch you so far this season. Keep up the good work. You deserve to be player of the week.
