He has much more to worry about than spending untold hundreds of thousands of our tax dollars to "frolic and detour" on our dime. GET BACK TO D.C. MR. OBAMA so you can fix our unemployment rate or actually fulfill some of your campaign promises! Your minimal "influence" will have little to do with the overall outcome on the olympic boards decisions (unless you promised them a bigger under the table pay-off than the other countries did.)
I agree with Finney...if he hadn't gone the GOP would be criticizing him, pointing at Lula da Silva and asking why Obama hates America so much that he can't do like the President of Brazil and support his country.
This is a cheap parlor trick and it's become more and more evident that that's all the GOP has left, cheap parlor tricks.
Kudos to Barack Obama for promoting America and promoting Chicago for the 2016 Olympics, and I hope that he gets his wish.
Bush spent something upwards of 2 years of his time in the whitehouse at his ranch.. give me a break.
