I'm sorry to say that these uninformed people who agree with these bans prefer to stay uninformed. They make their decisions on what feels good to them instead of knowing all the facts. If they did take the time to find out what these bans really mean to everyones liberty and freedom, private property rights etc they would never agree to them. As far as businesses who are ignoring these attacks on personal liberties I applaud them. We are taking back what they tried to steal from us. If they smoke in a place you have the CHOICE not to go in. Go to a business that CHOOSES to be smoke free, but I know that makes too much sence. They prefer to impose their will on others and call it democracy.

Happy wrote, "How nice to be able to work, eat, hangout, LIVE without being closed in with the most disgusting smelling, unhealthy smoke coming out of other peoples mouths"

Actually Happy, you will now quite likely be treated to far greater concentrations of the disgusting and deadly breath and flu germs coming out of other people's mouths, perhaps as much as 200 to 400% more as places cut down on their ventilation for cost reasons while not having to worry about smoke hanging in the air. Given the current graph at Google Flu Trends you might be *FAR* better off in a smoking-allowed venue.

Mr. Gardner, if you've read the actual studies that have been done, and digested the scientific criticisms made of them, you'd realize that there's no proof at all that smokng bans have saved any lives. Read the Rapid Responses to the grandfather of all the "Heart Miracle" studies, Helena, at:

    and

    http://www.bmj.com/cgi/eletters/bmj.38055.715683.55v1#125618

Note the almost total failure of the researchers to address to defend their work. Note the erasure of data. And rest assured that Helena does not by any means stand alone in its defects: virtually every one of these "saving lives" studies suffers from defects similar to these and sometimes even greater.

This was a very good decision. The fact s that this will save a number of lives and reduce the cost associatd with heart diseae and smoking and have a real effect. Such an ordinence is an examle where conservative an liberal minded people can agree that such an ordiance does provide for safty of individuals

Tobacco Free Supporters are Al-Quaida Terrorists
Because they and others accept millions of dollars of grant money from Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to promote its interest.

Death to Business Rights and Smokers, this message has been approved by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. (opp’s if they die then we can’t sell them our products)

You just made it more complicated.
Why not ban smoking or let them smoke
Instead you made it hard on everyone.
If you drink you can smoke,if you don't smoke you can't drink.
Some are breaking the law by allowing smoking today and
no one does a thing about it. You make it hard to enforce the laws.
    Especially in small eating places
