I do not live in Richmond, Im glad baseball has returned. I live in Charleston, WV we had a team named the "Charleston Charlies" in the same league. We lost baseball for 6 yrs, we went from Triple A to Low A. You will see there will be a difference for "AAA" to "AA" . We did build a new ball park. The new ball park will increase your attendance. I would like to submit a name for your new team.

Old school, you all had that name years ago. Just think, the kids will say "Hey Dad lets go watch the "Virginians" This name will bring pride to Richmond and Virginia. I hope your new owners pick a good baseball name. Not like our team in Charleston, WV, the "West Virginia Power" Look at "Greenville Drive" the "Winston Salem Dash" ... soccer teams not baseball. Push for baseball names. Im pushing West Virginia Power owners to rename our team and bring back the Charleston Charlies" Good luck with you new team--

Im kinda hoping for the name The Richmond Cardinals. I think it would bring some color to the team and with the Cardinal being the state bird and Richmond the capital of Virginia it kinda goes together.
I am excited. It's about time we get back to basics. I really like the name of K-Richmond's suggestion for the team name... The Richmond Cardinals! Sounds good!
