I don't wish the officer to loose his job, maybe he didn't see it the way we did on film....

This is ABSOUTELY ridiculous to be condoned on school property. Even more outrageous is that a Bay County Deputy Sheriff stood by and allowed this to happen. I could give the Deputy the benefit of the doubt that he made a mistake until I saw his attitude on TV about it. I think the deputy should be disciplined. this may get his attention. If not he is likely to condone similar activity in the future. Furthermore if this was one of my son's involved, I would not simply be making this comment I would be in Sheriff McKeithen's Office demanding some action.

I believe learning to fight is instrumental in survival. Learning to fight in school under supervised conditions and utilizing all safety equipment available, should continue. Fighting also releases stress and other psychological problems children have in school. If schools have a problem with probable law suits then have the students and parents/guardians sign an authorization letter to let the studens fight. Fighting is in a controlled environment it should continue.

It absolutely scares me to death that this officer is suppose to be protecting our community. Can he not see what every other person in their right mind can see? I think he needs to lose his job over this incident. If it was all horseplay these kids would not be taping it. And, I’m appalled at the way our school officials are handling this occurrence. They need to punshish every kid in that video. I want to know how often these kids are left alone long enough for this to happen. I think law suites need to come from this, maybe to teach everyone involved a lesson. I really hope this wakes up our school officials to keep closer tabs on our kids. I also hope this wakes up Sheriff Frank McKeithen as to the so called deputies he has protecting us, or should I say that is suppose to be protecting us. THIS WAS NOT HORSEPLAY!!!!!!!

Why is it always okay for athletes to avoid the rules? Where were the coaches that were supervising? Why did the officer not report such an incident to the principal? If this had happened at another local high school would the students just be excused? Too many questions, too few answers.

For heavens sakes people.... let your kids grow up. They had on big soft padded boxing gloves. Do you have any idea what's going to go on during hell week when and if they go to college???
You are the people who think that water boarding is some kind of torture.
Trust me, they will (and should) take more punishment on the football field than I saw on that video.
It's a guy bonding thing.

The SRO officer in the news wasn't at the fight. Not to mention he is a very good man. Your not going to stop boys from being boys. Get a life and know something before you try and cost a man his job. But i'm sure your child would never do anything like that. Probably in the library reading or volunteering at a retirement center.
