Nick Cody was 18 years old. An adult for ALL purposes, except drinking age. He could vote, go to war, and would have been tried as an adult, had he survived this tragic accident. In reality, is any parent of this age group ever 100 percent certain of the whereabouts of their children? I have a 17-year-old and, although I check on him constantly (to the point of being annoying), I know he hasn't always been truthful about his whereabouts in the past. Where there's a will there's a way and, unfortunately, kids will find a way to push the limits. Most of us did the same when we were their age. Let them rest in peace and may their friends, who were affected by their untimely death, learn from their mistake.
