Should we send more troops to Afghanistan?

Ohce again it is a super contoversial issue. I voted yes. Our millitory is not mandetory. It is an excelent job for young people and family. Beside, it is good for people who are not sure about future. Bottom line is most jobs have risk factor. as a health care person can you deny a paitint who is HIV possative? I can go on and on.What about your job? Every time you travel to a country wher they hate white christion. are not you taking a risk? What about our Presidwnt's risky Job ? JFK and Lincolon were killed. Regan got bullet and Bush ducked a "Shoe throwing." It is my opinion as a religous person. Every job have risk.

I look at intervention like the patrol officer who comes to a domestic violence call. 9 times out of 10 the domesic offenders forget what they were fighting about and turn against the officer and he gets hurt or if not killed in the call. I guess what I am saying or questioning is if going to Afganistan and being the mediator is really the way to go.

Greta, the first thing we have to remember is that Afghanistan has never been defeated. Russia, one of the most powerful nations on earth pulled out after years of trying to bring Afghanistan to its knees and they didn't even have to read them their Miranda rights.

No question of what we have to provide additional troupes right now and give 100% support to our forces.

Whether we like it or not, we have to take a long hard look at our chances of winning this war. We have a lot of history that tells us we probably can not succeed.

As much as I'd love to pull everyone out and bring them home I voted to send more troops. We are there... our troops are there and need help and support. Obama is not going to do a single thing to help our military. how sad.

I wish we were not there..but we are... so if my General says send in REINFORCEMENTS YOU GET EM THERE as fast as you can.........not in 6 weeks after you have pushed an unwanted health care down the the throats of the rest of us

We absolutely MUST send troops if the Generals say we should. We can't have another Vietnam, please God! I am so afraid that Obama is going to turn this into a political war.

Obama wanted to fight the war in afghanistan but he is not listening to the General who is fighting the war and begging for more troops. Obama I guess is going to run the war from air force one flying all over giving the same speech over and over. In the mean time our military die and get injured. He could care less. Every thing he does tells me he want our country to fail. Maybe this is what he meant too when he said he would stand by his muslim brothers. less troops is more protection for the enemy.

Our soldiers need all the support they can get to better their chances of coming home safely.

I know Obama wont send anymore troops because he wants them here to do his force innoculations with the H1N1 flu shot and he will let terroists muslim facists take over. He has an agenda and it aint good!!! Obama and his miniions are here to ruin the country and take it over. Eagelberger accused Obama of being an amateur for siding with the ousted Honduran president. Obama is an amateur at everything except community organizing so I don't hold much hope for us to win a war in Afghanistan with him as Commander in Chief no matter how many soldiers we commit..but I did vote to send more. I just can't stand the idea of lives being spent in vain, all for nothing, and then the USA running away. I don't believe we should have our troops in harms way as long as Obama is Commander in Chief. We just had a General ask for more troops, Obama said he will think about it. This is war, you need to be a little more decisive than that.

I would be for sending more troops if Washington would let them fight to WIN using air power and all their weapons. I am not for sending troops with their hands tied as Obama has them now!

We should go in with enough troups and firepower to win immediately. It looks like our cowardly liar in chief is going to hang our young men and women out to dry. He is not fit to command a turtle race, much less command our troups!!!!! Before he gets them all killed, they should all be pulled out immediatley and all money to foreign countries be stopped RIGHT NOW!!!

If Obama won't support out troops, bring them home. Don't let our troops over there without the help they need.

Where is the Anti-war protesters? Why are they not out in mass protesting this possible build up?

If we are going to win then the Obama needs to stop blocking the efforts of the Military, CIA and tools needed to fight the war. If we are going to fight then lets fight using all the tools (SOME NEW) available today.

FOR ANYTHING POSITIVE TO HAPPEN ABOUT AFGANISTAN, - OR ANYOTHER CONFLICT REGARDING THE WAR ON TERROR - THE MILITARY BRANCH WILL HAVE TO ACT AUTONOMICALLY FOR OBAMA DOES NOT HAVE THE SLIGHTEST INTERSET TO DEFEND THIS COUTRY FROM ITS ENEMIES.

3. Detrimental/ dangerous so called legal investigation to CIA practices of interrogations, and things related.

In others words this administratin is interested to bring our nation down.

Why is GW being censored? Why was the word limit significantly reduced? Why, Greta, are you allowing our voices to be silenced??!!

I say no because I think we are just wasting our time and our solders lives over there. They have been fighting among themselves (not our soldiers, the Afghanistan people) for a long , long time. I say get out and let them handle their own fight. If they can't, I don't see where it is our problem. Don't we have enough to handle at home?
