If you do some research, you'll find that the grant high band, while yes less talked about, also has a substantial recent history, of making superior ratings in the marching contests that they have performed in. Including superior ratings at the NSU marching contest.
As the Head Drum Major at Grant I am estatic that we won. And I know that Pineville also has a awesome band program, I have a friend there. But just because you are more widely known doesn't make you better. Grant has done very well the past few years and we too got superior ratings at NSU last year. And for our size and the changes we are going through we are doing great.
