The team drops to 0-2 but the Panthers play improved this week, especially the offense. Are you feeling better about the Panthers?

No, I think they are going to have a very bad season. On the other hand UNC is 3-0 for the first time since 1997. Go Heels !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who cares? A waste of money on unproductive means. Millions spent that produce nothing sustainable for the economy. I don't care how you spend your money, but a lot of taxpayer dollars have been and are spent on nothing more than entertainment. How is that a function of government?

can you say "LOSERS"..............

the Panthers are spoiled, overpaid "LOSERS".....................it is so funny when they are getting their butts kicked and when they finally do something half way good they dance around like a bunch of fools

Keep worrying about the Panthers folks; forget about what Obama, and his regime, is doing to you and focus only on the Panthers. Pay no attention to your loss of liberty and freedom. Tackles and sacks are all that matter.

Sports, the opiate of the masses.

Over 1 million per game and he didn't even get his uniform dirty. Nice investment.

The preseason was wasted on practice that must not have occurred. Yes, they played better but, Atlanta controlled most of the game. The predicted outcome was never in doubt. Just as their season predicted under this system; no playoffs and hopefully, finally, good-bye Fox and his staff.

Either the new defensive co-ord plan isn't very good or the players are too stupid to learn it

For those that are pleased, you are too easily satisfied with moral victories. This team has no mojo, no chemistry, no fire or intensity. This will be the last year for many in uniform and management.

It's going to be a long season. I'm predicting 6 and 10, at best. It's not that we are bad, we just aren't that good. I'm sure Peppers realized this and that was why he wanted out. Individually we have some good players, collectively we seem to not be able to get it done. The O line did a respectable job yesterday, that's a positive.
The question is why are we where we are? Management? Jerry fired his sons. Coaching? The elusive team chemistry? I have no idea. We have never had back to back winning seasons which seems to point to a lack of consistency on all levels. I don't see this changing this year.

I agree with Loafer...WHO CARES?

Perhaps if our society placed more value on education than physical prowess and athletics, we would be a wiser society. Who knows, maybe young people would know that government isn't obligated to be provide, housing, transportation, education, meals, healthcare and childcare.

I think of how many people I know who can cite statistics on a football team, or maybe the entire NFL. They can tell you who has the most passing yards, who has the best ground game, but they haven't a clue about who is representing their district in Washington, DC. They cannot name their senators from their state. They don't know that the constitution is even in jeopardy right now.

So, the Panthers as a business...I hope they do wonderfully. But taxpayer dollars should not be a factor in their existence.

On Sept 20Th the Panthers performance looked like an acceptable 2ND exhibition game. Obviously they don't get coached correctly, I believe the owner now recognizes this and will take the action necessary to achieving the team he wants. Sometimes nepotism just does not work.

You said it much better than I, Mark.

Mark, you are wrong. Government does, indeed, have an obligation to provide some those services. Article IX of the NC Constitution, for example, addresses the right to a public education funded by taxes.

Where in the world did anyone menton taxpayer money and the Panthers? I just HATE fair weather fans. You disgust me. They are ging to be just fine and then the majority here will jump back on the "Go Panthers, that's my team" bandwagon. Go back to sleep and place your bets on the high school games as I am sure most of you do.

But, I.M.Dem, it is not found anywhere in the Constitution of the United States!

And Jim, if you think there wasn't taxpayer money involved in the Panthers stadium you are dead wrong sir. The property does not belong to the Panthers it is leased to them by a token amount which I believe is $1 per year. And if you think of all the police presence for security and traffic control isn't being paid by you and I, think again.

I am not a fan of the Panthers, never have and never will. If the NFL implodes tomorrow and never play another game it will not affect me one iota.
