When did dissent go from highest form of patriotism, to lowest form of racism?
That's what I want to know.

What was it Hillary Clinton said: we should be able to disagree with the president without people questioning our loyalty and patriotism. Of course that was when Democrats were bashing Republicans.

If Obama knew what he was saying was not true then quess what? HE LIED! What he said was in fact untrue, depending on which version of the bill you are looking at. In that regard he (Obama) owes Joe and America an appology. But maybe Jimmy Carter is a "Good Ol' Southern Racist" and can't understand how someone can disagree with a person of another skin color without being a racist.

I am a Captain in the Army and I am sick of the media exaggerating of what was really said. Do you honestly think that the former President Carter would say that anything Against President Obama is racist? No. But there are many who disagree with him because of what he represents. It could be race, political stance, or just honest criticism. Racism does still exist and some of the current demonstrations are a small glimpse of what is out there. No matter what side of politics you are on don't trust the Big Networks because their news is not real and only caters to them. There is no such thing as Fair and Balanced. PBS is most likely the most neutral. I am just annoyed people actually believe garbage. Thanks and have a great day.

PBS, along with CNN, is one of the most liberal-biased news networks that exists today! Fox News is the closest you're going to come to "fair and balanced" reporting. The lib-dems don't like it because it IS fair and balanced. American news like CNN and PBS have been so liberally slanted for so many years that most folks don't notice it and think that their type of reporting is what is normal and expected. It's refreshing to see Fox News air both sides of almost every story they report. As much as I enjoy Robin Meade's bubbly upbeat character, I had to stop watching her news in the morning because CNN's political news is so one-sided it's disturbing. And Nancy Grace's voice just turns my stomach.

You bastards are "RACIST", simple and plain, tea parties and all that bullshit is just crackers protesting the election results, that put a black man in the white house, not the healthcare debate. Jimmy Carter knows what the good ole' boy racism looks like, and he nailed it.

I have lost a lot of respect for Jimmy Carter. He was a great diplomat but obviously he is slipping.
That, or it was another cheap shot at the already failing Republican party.
