What is the most important factor in determining what news show you watch on TV?

If Oldermann comes on there is no way I would watch that show...same for Chris Matthews....When Maher comes on we switch. - the list goes on.

Host or Hostess are very importent to me. I watch Sean and your shows because of you two. I also see Anderson Cooper and Christiana Amanpur in CNN. I see O'Riely some time. I basicaly know what to expect from Sean and Anderson Cooper. However, you and Amanpur keep me in suspence. May be I am sexist. Age mean nothing to me as a woman. I saw Walter Croncite and Dan Rather religiously. Those days I was very young.

I don 't get my news from TV.

I voted for "topic" because that really is my biggest interest. It is nice to like the anchor or host but for ME, if I am very interested in the topic, I will watch a host I'm not particularly fond of. BUT...once they move on to a topic I am not interested in, I'm gone....

I guess "the guest" would be part of "topic" for me, but you have them separate, so I voted topic.

There should be a category of Anchor AND guest. Cause as much as I like FOX news... depends on who you have... especially talk shows.

News shows don't have guests. They have reporters.

NBC ratings are sooooo rotten...I believe they had Kenye West create the scene at the video awards and embarass Taylor Swift to cause controversy because he is appearing on Jan Leno tonight. I imagine they have no qualms about trashing Swift's big moment if it means ratings. I would not watch NBC if they paid me.

I voted for the topic because if the topic is not important issues, not one sided, etc. then no matter how great an anchor is, eventually, I would stop watching. Thank you all (Fox) for bring us balanced new reporting as fair as you can.

I DO NOT listen to any news channel for the news. I only get ancillary news that comes while watching broadcasting.
