Buying local is big for me. I goto the Farmers Markets and am always watching where products come from to try and get them locally or at least in the US if possible. It's sad how hard it is becoming to buy american, at least we can buy local. Whether it's a locally owned shop or a local chain, at least the $ I spend there is going to pay for local jobs.
We try to support our local farmers and shopkeepers whenever possible. It's so important to put our money where our lives are. These are our neighbors and friends, and they keep our community vibrant.
