here's my vision... C- M.Gasol, PF- Randolf/Thabeet SF- Gay/Mayo SG- Iverson/Mayo PG- Williams/Mayo(gotta learn to be a dominant BIG guard) NEVER IVERSON... HE AT POINT WILL DESTROY THIS TEAM... SO PLS!!!!

Mayo will never be a true point guard. He can´t, as he always looks the basket before his teammates.
I don't know why there's more people that say the Grizz will win the NBA title than the ones that say they'll be a lottery team.
Because the truth is that they won't make the playoffs, furthermore, they won't even be near of making the playoffs.
This year team is a shit. There will be four players in the starting lineup (Randolph, Gay, Mayo, Iverson) which are like dark holes. When they get the ball, it never comes out. Well, in fact, it only comes out when they shoot it.
The only player in the starting lineup that can make good decisions is Marc Gasol.

This is something that i would see to workout make it more than an individual ego when it comes to points and just stick with the plan to do whatever it takes to win a game.

This team has the potentila to be really good. I am not sure how they plan to use AI, but I would run him at the point unless OJ can do it better and allow AI to score, but he has proved that he can do it from either position.

As long as they all buy in and can play hard every night. They will make the playoffs, and are a contender once they get there. Maybe not a championship in year one, but they will have a shot in 2 to 3 years once they master playing together....

Instead of waiting on free tickets, I'm actually going to buy some this year. My 5 year old loves Rudy, Mike, and OJ. I can't wait to see what he thinks about AI.

I think Grizzlies can win it all the way if they will have a strong/offensive center or PF like Bosh. This kind of player will give more freedom to do his thing..i mean. that what he need..a Strong Big Buddy like Mutombo in 2000-01 Sixers Eastern Championship Team.

I'm just ready to see them play again, AI will help out and also all these young players getting more time together. It's going to be a great season.

The Grizzlies are moving in the right direction like other young teams building through the draft. I look at Portland, Utah and Atlanta as examples of how teams have built through the draft and are now playoff teams. Those teams like the Griz, just need more experience and time to gel. With that said, I hope we haven't just jeopardized the bright future of this team for a 1 year ticket magnet. I understand the "business" side of adding A.I. but I have my doubts about the "basketball" fit for this team. If he comes in and becomes a mentor to our younger players and leads by example then we may be in good shape. The risk is that he impedes the improvement of players like Mike and O.J who will be here for years to come and that we actually take a step backwards because those players haven't continued to develop. In other words the "Answer" is not the future. Whether or not adding A.I. is good for the franchise may actually be determined the following year. Are we still a team on the rise when he leaves? The risk is the Jets fiasco with Bret Favre last year. They won a few more games but in the end still needed a quarterback and ended up firing their coach. They're still in rebuilding mode because they rolled the dice on a player for ticket sales who didn't have the team's best interest at heart. A year later, Bret Favre is somewhere else. I'm not predicting that will happen with the Griz but view it as a cautionary tale of what could happen if you don't weigh both the risks and rewards. If he becomes what Jerry Rice became to Terrell Owens at San Francisco or what Jerome Bettis became to Willie Parker at Pittsburgh, then the Grizzlies will be okay. Those legends became mentors to younger players so when they left, those teams could still make the playoffs and stay relevant because they helped in the development of the teams young and upcoming talent. To do that, they had to sacrifice their playing time and production though. Is A.I. willing to do that? Will A.I. become the Grizzlies Bret Favre? Or will he become the Grizzlies Jerome Bettis or Jerry Rice? We'll only know the "answer" to that the following season.

And Zack Randolph will be a bust too....I think Rasheen Theebeet and Mike Conley and Rudy Gay are the future (at least the next few years) of our Memphis Grizzlies. Did Iverson help Detroit or Denver the past few years.....not really! Did Randolph help the Clippers last year? not really.....they had their flashes of greatness but it wasn't alot.....

Our current Memphis Grizzlies looks promising on paper......but games aren't played on paper! As tough as the division that Memphis is in (Dallas, Houston, New Orleans, San Antonio) we will have to bring it every nite to exspect to win anything. We now have a man on our team that didn't like to P-R-A-C-T-I-C-E!(yea, i'm talking about practice). I hope Mr. Iverson has a great season.....but something tells me otherwise...

Ima Atlanta Hawks fan, but I think adding Iverson to a deep bench means Memphis is finally gunna be back in the playoffs.

Mark Gasol and OJ Mayo are excellent players.......my mistake in not mentioning them. But Mr. Thabeet, Mr. Conley and Mr. Gay are the future of this franchise in my opinion.....its just my opinion that's all. Once Hasheen gets an understanding of what he needs to do.....watch out Greg Olden(Portland), Yaw Ming(Houston). But it will take a few years for him to develope and baring injury he will be a good one or years to come! But Mr. Iverson is not "The Answer" for our team right now. And Zach Randolph will get injured early and be a bust!

the grizz will make the playoffs but no way will they get close to a championship for one thing a.i is a shoot first pass second kind of player with some flashy moves at times thats all and he will have some games where he scores 35 to 40 points and probably win but in a tough game all he will do is drive to the rim and dish it out to a man who will most likely not be open if he doesnt have an open shot first himself which is most likely never. we will win at least one playoff game though just off of iverson's athletism and streaky scoring ability. how far we go will ultmately depend on our vets randolph and iverson!

some of you people are idiots. if u dont know how to even spell hasheem thabeet correctly dont post same if u think pau gasol's name is paul. or marc's last name is guasol. ferthermore, the grizzlies are not loaded at point guard, mike conley is a bust, and marcus williams is a bust as well, theres a reason no one wanted him before we signed him. Iverson is a great player but he will hinder the development of our younger players because he is only interested in putting up big numbers this year so he can get on a good team next year. And whoever said that we should trade marc gasol and a shitty player for Chris Bosh, you are a retard. If you want an all-nba caliber big man you cannot just trade a couple of subs for him, you must actually give up something to get something. I dont understand how so many of you think there is a better chance that we win the championship than being in the lottery. We have been one of the worst teams in the past and now we add some talented players, yes, but there going to cause distractions. I think the most likely scenario is that we win 30-somethin games and are in the lottery again next year.

we dont have any developed players coming off of the bench either besides iverson. and the grizzlies will NEVER start conley, iverson, and mayo, with gay coming off the bench. Thats just asking to lose. The reason teams tried to make iverson play point guard is because he was having trouble guarding 2 guards, no way you put oj and the 3, then you would have the same problems.

I think The Grizzlies will be a very interesting team to say the least....I can hardly wait. I think trading Hakeen Warrick and Darko Milicic will hurt us early.....But Mr. Thabeet will fit in nicely once he learns the NBA game.....you can't teach height! I hope Mr. Iverson and Mr. Randolph will come through on their ends.....only time will tell. I hope they make the playoffs......but i doubt it!
